Florian Herzberg is the man behind My Secret Playground. When giving his 3-tracker-debut on JEAHMON! Records a headline we would choose this: "A Berlin Melange". Again and again Florian is drawn to his hometown Vienna. A city full of old glory and vanity, a spirit of optimism and standstill in the same way. On his new EP "NOSTALGIA", the now Berlin-based producer combines these opposites in three Electro and typical 1980s tracks. Rolling aggressive beats are replaced by broad synths and strings. Pounding kick drums paired with nostalgic vocal lines make the leap into the 21st century and give My Secret Playgrounds EP its own contemporary Indie Dance sound. With his track “Time Is Not Real,” Dutch producer Doctr resurrects the break fever of the 1980s. Driven by syncopated beats and an irresistible slapped bassline, the track clearly draws inspiration from “Street Dance,” while injecting a modern dynamic and a vocal by Belle Doron.
