Rocío Portillo is an electronic music producer, DJ, and singer. She is also a brave, grateful, and conscious woman. Her full-time passion for music came after overcoming cancer, which made her hold on to life.

At 25, she obtained a degree in Social Communication and since then, she has worked in prominent media outlets in Mendoza. In 2024, after battling leukemia for five years and focusing on her recovery, she gave up her career as a journalist to dedicate herself solely to music for a while.

During the summer, a tour took her to the main electronic music stages across Argentina: Rosario, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata. Before that, with the help of an agent and her own promotion, she planned her first European tour, performing in cities across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.

With an elegant and sober style, Rocío steadily advances as a leading female figure in electronic music. She proudly says she is part of the line-up of festivals where her own role models also perform: among others, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha or John Digweed.

Her mother’s encouragement, which led her to take singing, dance, theater, and piano lessons, along with the support of her father, a choir director, invited her to explore the possibilities of art and the diversity of music. In her performances, she combines original pieces with hybrid sets where she includes her own voice.

So many beautiful experiences I have been through the last couple of weeks. From a beautiful gig in Lake Tahoe, to other crazy ones in LA, NY, San Diego and Austin. And then last week I had the privilege to play at the AfrikaBurn. A festival about 5 hours drive from Cape Town. I did two shows there. A sunset one and a pre-burn one. Both beautiful on its own. And when you hear the crowd scream: 'one more song, one more song' knowing that I already played 2 'more' songs....yes, then you know that they like what you do. That having said: I love bringing joy and happiness in your lives so the feeling is mutual! So straight from the heart another Deep & Sexy podcast for you guys. Hallo liebe Liebenden,

in dieser Woche stand Sabura für uns an den Decks.
Der gebürtige Hamburger ist auf der Reeperbahn längst kein unbekannter mehr, so hat es sein Name auch mittlerweile nach Berlin geschafft.
Sein Sound ist eine einzigartige treibende, impulsive und dunkle Reise, die die Menschen in einen euphorischen Geisteszustand versetzt. 
Er ist nicht nur Resident DJ bei Waagenbau, Hamburg, sondern hat seine Musik auch in Europa und Asien veröffentlicht. 
Außerdem veröffentlichte er diverse cluborientierte Tracks auf Labels wie Dunkelheit, Sweet Musique, Progressiv Astronaut und wurde von großen Namen wie Teenage Mutants, BoyNextDoor, BAAL und Yubik geremixed. 
Vor wenigen Jahren erfand er seine eigenen Veranstaltungsreihe in Hamburg mit einem durchdachten Gesamtkonzept in Sachen Gestaltung. 
Saburas authentischer und voll energischer Rave-Stil repräsentiert seinen subkulturellen Hintergrund. 
Nicht nur das upcycelte Kostüm ist einen Besuch auf seinen einzigartigen Spielplätzen wert.

Florian Kruse (Last Night On Earth / Kompakt)

There aren’t many people that can say that they have devoted their entire life to electronic music, Florian is most certainly one of them. DJ, producer, lecturer, plus label owner? Yes, Kruse has ticked all the boxes. 

His passion for music began in his hometown in Northern Germany. An avid reader of Frontline magazine, and later the Raveline, his love for electronic music was born at 14, when he bought his first turntable. Early influences included legends such as Moodyman, Herbert and Steve Bug. At 16, Kruse invested in his first sampler, a mixer and a keyboard. With music in mind, he made the natural migration to Hamburg in 2002, where he studied Audio Engineering, and later taught at SAE. 
Long time in the game, he started his music career in 2007, with his first vinyl release on Stokholms, Heya Hifi. Since then, Kruse has only grown as both a producer and a DJ. With Stel Vassiloudis and Nils Nuernberg, he became project Wiretappeur, with releases on Bedrock and a remix for label head honcho John Digweed. Nils Nuernberg quickly became his partner in crime, and together became the production duo Kruse & Nuernberg, their hypnotic Deep House sound making appearances on Liebe*Detail, Exploited, and Rejected. In 2008 they started their own label, Save Room Recordings. 
A focus on his own productions, Kruse plunged into a solo career with a release on Anjunadeep, working together with his older brother Vincenzo and one of his long time idols Lisa Shaw. Followed by releases on Noir Music, Poker Flat Recordings, Stil Vor Talent, Joris Voorn’s GREEN imprint, Kompakt, Last Night On Earth and Suara and remixes by Noir, Eagles & Butterflies, Joris Voorn, Pleasurekraft, Coyu, David Morales and the list of releases and remixes goes on. After a couple of feature tracks with singer / songwriter Hendrik Burkhard Florian and Hendrik started a LIVE project presenting ‘TheGround’ with an album (Dediction) in October 2017 on Steve Bug’s Audimatique label.
With long time passion for house and techno that dates back to the early years, Kruse is first and foremost a DJ, taking his signature sound to world renowned clubs. Now settled in the German capital, Berlin, a true hub for electronic music, with regular DJ appearances at the city's infamous underground clubs.
