HEY! 

it's been a while, huh? sorry about that. life kinda got in the way, and then it got in the way even more. i moved countries, i started working as a full time studio engineer, i got broken up with, i started pursuing art and graphic design... the list goes on, and with that list it took a lot of time from me that i used to use to make music– but i'm also doing better than ever. 

this album was made over the last two years, started in july 2019. it's a reflection of all the places i've lived during that time and the emotions i've felt during the time spent in them. all the love and heartbreak that i've felt, all the beautiful people i've met, all the people and places that have come and go, all the growing i've done and the growing i have to do– it's all in this album. i hope you can feel it when you listen and will let it move you the way my surroundings have moved me.

I learned today that Daniel Carey, aka EOM, has passed away.
 
It might come as a surprise, but EOM is the reason I'm here today and that you can listen to my music. He convinced me to begin making music after introducing me to an entirely new side to music with his videos on music production. Yes, artists like J Dilla and Madlib have a much clearer, stronger influence on my sound, but none of that would be there were in not for E introducing me to a different side of music. 

I'm here in a foreign country following my dreams and making more music than I ever have in my life before because of him. 

I wish I told him that.

Rest in peace E. We'll miss you.

hey there.

by nature i'm an introverted person. i don't like crowded and noisy places, i can't spend too much time around others, and i have trouble expressing how i feel about a lot of situations. for lots of people, this isn't an issue. they find a way to balance needing alone time with socializing and tend to manage ok.

for some reason, i don't. i isolate myself to the point where it can be dangerous for my health and i push others away when i don't mean to. these feelings are hard to describe and it makes me seem like i'm not a very nice person when in reality i just have trouble balancing all of the things in my life.

for the past year now, i've made music that explores these feelings. this album is the culmination of many deep dives into my mental health and an expression of what my feelings mean to me.
