this is wonderful. the pacing, reverb and glissando makes me think of some of Tuxedomoon's early work (Desire). but this is also highly contemporary, and very you. love it.

Brian Foote aka Leech is a good friend / inspiring mind that has been behind lot’s of wonderful music, and it’s a pleasure to have him join the series after multiple years of hounding him! Projects he’s involved in include co-running a label called Peak Oil, managing Kranky, Nudge, and exploring oblique drum and bass as Leech most recently. This mix he’s recorded finds him in chill out mode which he does exceptionally well. Make sure to check out his show on Dublab with another Brion called Tipping Point!

This compilation unites music from Mutant Radio’s friends and residents, with all proceeds directly supporting political prisoners, their families, and activists across different regions of Georgia. The struggle continues until every political prisoner is freed and new elections take place.

Whether on the streets, in our space, or through the airwaves, we remain firmly alongside the movement. Without true freedom, creativity is silenced, culture fades, and Mutant Radio cannot exist.

We extend our gratitude to our friends and residents for their unwavering support and for sharing their music in these challenging times for Georgia.

Observable Future (D.K. Remix)

Florina Speth, born 1983 in the mountains near Salzburg, started playing the cello and piano at the age of 6 and began studying music at the “University Mozarteum Salzburg” when she was just 11. She won several prices playing solo and string quartett ensembles, was part of orchestras like Bayerisches Landesjugend Orchester and Salzburger Junge Philarmonie all over Europe. Always keenly interested in contemporary music, she was part of performing ensembles in lots of world premieres.

In her PhD she investigated the role of sound in robotic rehabilitation. She has been working as Postdoctoral researcher on Music, Machines and the Human hand. She has been working as a futurist, writing books on the 22nd century and future of health. These days she holds a professorship in Digital Health in which she tackles the humane tech-potentials for the silver society.

She loves bridging experimental arts with science to get inspiring output. In current live performances she works with cello and synths.
