Multi - Instrumentalist Samuel Owens was born in a house ripe with music. His brother, Jackson Owens now bass player for the progressive metal band Kairos out of Charlotte, inspired Samuel from an early age to play music. At a young age he began playing brass instruments and quickly became proficient in all marching brass instruments and classical euphonium. At age 18 Samuel picked up a bass for the first time and found a whole new world of expression in the percussive rhythm he could add to the complex harmonies he had known as a euphonist. Now Samuel plays the guitar, bass, trumpet, piano, tuba, euphonium, french horn, baritone, melaphone, and pennyy flute.
