Sara Teasdale (August 8, 1884 – January 29, 1933) was an American lyric poet.

Het Clara Wichmann Instituut (CLWI), genoemd naar de juriste Clara Wichmann, was een Nederlandse organisatie die zich bezighield met de rechtspositie van vrouwen. Zij werd in 1987 opgericht en op 1 oktober 2004 opgeheven wegens het beëindigen van de overheidssubsidie. Tot de oprichters behoorde de juriste Dorien Pessers en Heikelien Verrijn Stuart. Een van de bekendste werknemers was de advocate Elsbeth Boor. De laatste directeur was Margreet de Boer.

Belangrijke activiteiten waren politiek lobbywerk, ondersteunen van vrouwenadvocatuur en het voeren van vele proefprocessen, bijvoorbeeld over wijziging van de achternaam na scheiding. Het CLWI spande ook een proces aan tegen de Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij (SGP) die geen vrouwen als lid accepteerde. Op 7 september 2005 bepaalde de rechtbank van Den Haag dat het subsidiëren door de Staat van de SGP in strijd was met het VN Vrouwenverdrag, en dat de subsidie derhalve diende te worden gestaakt. Op 5 december 2007 werd het vonnis van de Haagse rechtbank evenwel door de Raad van State vernietigd.

Hoewel later in naam een instituut voor genderproblematiek bleef het instituut zich volgens zijn statuten tot het eind exclusief bezighouden met de belangen van vrouwen.

Sommige activiteiten zijn overgenomen door het Proefprocessenfonds Clara Wichmann. De jurisprudentiedatabank is overgenomen door de Vereniging voor Vrouw en Recht 'Clara Wichmann'.
Voor het eerst in de geschiedenis van de SGP stelt een vrouw zich kandidaat voor de verkiezingen. Lilian Janse uit Vlissingen wil lijsttrekker worden bij de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen in maart 2014. In 2010 besloot de Hoge Raad dat de SGP vrouwen niet langer mocht uitsluiten van haar kieslijsten. Beroep bij het Europees Hof voor de Rechten van de Mens haalde niks uit. In maart van dit jaar moesten de staatkundig gereformeerden dan ook noodgedwongen hun vrouwenstandpunt aanpassen.

Voor sommige SGP'ers is deze wijziging en de kandidaatstelling van Janse een doorn in het oog. Cornelis Mekelenkamp is SGP-lid en vertelde woensdag in het EO-televisieprogramma De Vijfde Dag: 'Dit vind ik een pijnlijke ontwikkeling. De Bijbel houdt ons voor: een vrouw op de kieslijst, dat is niet aan de orde. Van binnen huilde ik.'

The brewer, the baker, the candlestick-maker
They all sprung out of a rotten potato
An apple for the king
A pear for the queen
And a good toss over the bowling green

It nearly tossed me over the sky

I held on to a bird as it span around and around until it dropped
But I am as big and as strong as the house which I call my own

Tidal Pull

He does not feel the fire.
Only the faint pull of a memory of mud and rain. And the wonder that he is dry and clean.
He doesn’t feel the waves.
Only the boat, his boat, steady and sure beneath his back. And the smell of pitch.
On the shore someone is wailing. Someone is calling out a name he almost remembers.
It is gone.
Only the song his mother sang when wolves howled at night and the taste of copper hung heavy in the air.
Did he feed the pigs? Was the gate shut? Were his people safe? Is it…
Who was speaking?
And why am I still wearing my boots? We leave behind what we do not need. And is that me on the shore, alone, pierced with iron and soaked in blood? If it be, leave it behind and say to the fish ‘here is one on me!’

Only the sea. Only the sky. Only the breath between a birth and a death in blood and agony… I waited for the sun in vain. Lying eye of God, where were you when crops died and children starved? Did another world catch your eye in the market? Are YOU a child?

Are you a child? And do I hear you weeping? I might do more harm than good. I was never soft or kind. But are you crying? Are you lonely too?
Lonely God-Child, do not fear the night. For I am with thee. I do not feel the fire or the waves. Only you in my arms. Quiet now…
And on the shore, the last light fades of a boat on the water. They stand.
Bitterly defiant in their unending Autumn.

-------- Reminiscences of Mountains  --------

The spinning globes meandering crack the barrier; And frame the light's cold silent marks till life is just a blur.  Mountains reminisce with friends and take the moon to task, For siding with the summer sun in which the insects bask.  The night so green and sorrowful as the glaciers despair; The conjurer so fragile now tugging at his hair.  Many lifetimes coalesce and sidle up to show. That lessons left in energy are as permanent as snow.  Cradled in the honey cell, bars cast on the wall; The Richter scale ascending as eyelids rise and fall.  The landscape with a floating love calls out to her birth; 
Masks the face of granite cliffs and minerals of worth.  
     The frequency is cut in two and left alone to die; 
            Past and future co-exist,
                 but the present's just
                      a lie.

His body floats on the surface,
Limbs spread wide and bound to the water,
An "X" marks his place on the planet.
Ankles and wrists between water and air,
He submits to a force of nature,
An "X", half submerged in the waves.
It says, "You are here",
but the ocean has more "there".
The water is a woman. 
The sea is terrifying,
But he won't ever fear her.
A force of nature does nothing for spite,
Nothing for greed,
Nothing for personal gain.
His death would be clean. 
Honest.
Absorbed, even, thoroughly, back to the source,
The waters from which we all came.

Whenever I have the chance to swim in the ocean, I am compelled, beyond my will, to swim out past the choppy stuff and float, limp and contemplative, upon the rise and fall of Earth's seawater. I clear my thoughts and drift. Invariably, though, thoughts arrive. Then this kind of shit happens. I wrote the start of this back when first exploring things that appear in "force of Nature", that submission to natural forces, free of judgment.

flowermouth = melancholic electronic music with spoken word poetry. 'flowermouth' refers to No-Man's inspirational debut album (Tim Bowness/ Steven Wilson)
flowermouth's hometown is Eindhoven, where the very first pioneers of electronic music started in 1957: Room 306, Basement Phillips Natlab Factory.

I like to add poetry, vocals, guitar and fieldrecordings from other artists to my songs.
The main instruments I play are bassguitar and keys.

(2016) -  with spoken word poetry on every single track by various artists. Some of his tracks were broadcasted by BBC-6 Radio, Dutch Radio (B-FM) and published by American Art Magazines like -Moonchild and Theta Wave. Early 2021 his third album came out: "In a breath's length". Again with the help from American, Brittish, and for the first time also Dutch poets.
