Surprisingly after 95 mixes, I haven't made an exclusive mix with arguably hardcore's most popular label, Kniteforce Records. With it being the 25th anniversary this year since the first vinyl release on Luna'C's incredible label, I decided it would be perfect timing to do just that. Kniteforce owner and hardcore legend, Christopher Howell (Luna-C) has many aliases including; Cru-L-T, EKO, The Timespan, DJ Psycangle, Krazy Fresh 2 & Tailbone to name but a few. He is, in my opinion, one of the most important and influential artists in the hardcore and breakbeat scene. Kniteforce was one of the leading labels to shape the sound of early nineties hardcore with a mixture of the darker, heavier, jungle sounds with reggae samples and uplifing piano-lead, breakbeat hardcore at the happier end of the spectrum with the 4 beat formation kicking in around 1995. Cru-L-T's partnership with Jimmy J was reaching new heights so they created a sublabel in Remix Records and in the first year they released two of hardcore's biggest anthems, 'Take Me Away' and 'Six Days'. These records are often defined as the pinnacle of happy hardcore. But having already played these in previous mixes aswell as Brisk's 2nd release on the label, the exceptionally uplifting, 'Airhead', I decided to keep the tracklist to records which haven't been involved yet. There wil be more Kniteforce mixes to come but here it is, Kniteforce Vs Remix Records. Who wins?........You decide!!
