Depth

Thomas and Julien are Dutch brothers from South of France. They propose either a DJ or live act mixing several genres whilst keeping a groovy, melodic and emotive edge.

Passionates in organic music, they put out their own "A Day At" videos showing organic production and live performances through field recordings. They also created "A Day In” which translates cultures through field recordings and collaborations with local and traditional musicians. They already have concluded first collaborations with Gnawa musicians in Morocco and Huichol tribe musicians in Mexico.
With release on Crosstown Rebels, Sapiens, Bar 25 and their own imprint, Klassified Records, the two brothers also run The House of Klassified in Amsterdam and the Klassified Music Festival in South of France.

Music is the best medicine and we should consider every day lost on which we have not immersed ourselves in it at least once.  
 
I hope you enjoy this package of work that is not not only a perfect representation of where I am musically but I also took this opportunity to explore my passion of art and neuroscience with the album cover that I hand drew. I've named it Striatum (which is a subcortical part of the forebrain and a critical component in multiple aspects of cognition, motor and action planning, decision-making, motivation, and the reward system) which is a precursor to a research topic I will be pursuing in the future, which looks at music's affects on the brain in the context of neurotherapy and rehabilitation.

I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed creating it <3

We're excited today! Our program for our family has been filled with gems. We start with a Pilates class at 12:00 before we move on to our Global Isolation Party part II. 

It has become a pure passion of ours to keep the spirits high and the family entertained.. 

To double up the excitement we chose to go online with a beautiful set once again created by Wild Dark. Their taste in music oozes through the different tracks and it again leaves us speechless and amazed.

The Isolation Diaries - Wild Dark

While we are all experiencing the impacts of a global pandemic, it has been interesting to see the affects in which people engage with music. Be it singing together from balconies, watching live streams on social media or composing isolation songs, many of these new forms and repertoires bore witness to an underlying conviction about music’s ability to create and maintain social bonds, to show gratitude, to promote public health, and to escape from anxiety, boredom, loneliness, stress, and uncertainty about the future. I wish to thank the Flow Music Crew for expanding upon this. 
Music is a method of therapy and a means of accessing and stimulating specific cerebral circuits. As someone who has a music & neuroscience background, it has been very interesting to see music’s effects be put to the test. During times of spatial distancing, the role of music in social convergence has been strongly pushed to the forefront. There is a strong an association between musical creativity and psychopathology. I know we are all impacted in one way or another at present, so I hope this curation of music is somewhat therapeutic. I hope this set allows you to positively reflect whilst simultaneously escaping into your own ideal psychological state. After all.. Art history is the unfolding of subjectivity
