For 333 045 our first edition of 2022 we are excited to bring you the very talented Austrian born, Melbourne based artist BINI! 

Words from the artist - "Storytelling in all its ways, shapes or forms is a powerful tool to evoke emotions. As a film maker and photographer, I’m familiar with different techniques to communicate stories and weave this into my musical journeys - it was amazing to have the opportunity to curate a particularly long set for people to enjoy with this mix. 

I took the basic concept of a three-act-structure and translated it into my 333 Session, reflecting some of my favourite genres and tracks close to my heart, new and old. 

Starting out with some deep, organic sounds for the first half an hour, I intend for my listeners to slowly ease into the voyage. During the middle and main part, the energy increases with some emotive progressive house and melodic techno and house. To tie it all together, the end part consists of organic house and electronica elements as well as a surprising finish.

Instead of one peak, there is dynamic change within each act, comparable to multiple story arcs - a rise and fall in the narrative. I complimented this ebb and flow by adding in some indie dance, breaks and deep house."

Unsere Nr. 244 kommt heute von the doubljuh, welchen wir seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit aufmerksam verfolgen. Neben seinem aktiven Auflegen, ist er auch Mitgründer des international bekannten Blogs https://soundcloud.com/deep_storys. 
Seine Sets bestechen durch eine enorme, hohe Qualität, welche sich durch die stringente Trackauswahl und dem geschichtartigen Aufbau auszeichnen. Stilistisch bringt er eigentlich in jedes seiner Sets eine Portion Sonnenschein hinein. So auch in unserer neusten Ausgabe von Afterhour Sounds. 
Dennoch überraschte uns die Aufnahme komplett, denn das Set ist gespickt mit alten Klassikern aus so ziemlich jedem Genre, was Musik zu bieten hat. Musik die nicht nur ein Schmunzeln aufs Gesicht zaubert, sondern auch zum Mitsummen und je nach Textkenntnis, auch zum Mitsingen einlädt. Hier und da schleicht sich aber auch ein elektronischer Track hinein. So ganz konnte er es dann doch nicht lassen. 

Im Gesamten ist der Mix absolut einzigartig und zeitlos geworden. Er funktioniert definitiv jederzeit und über alle Generationen hinweg. 

Wie es zu diesem außergewöhnlichen Mix gekommen ist und was für ihn eine gute Afterhour ausmacht, verrät er uns unter anderem in unserem Kurzinterview.

- Wie bist du zur elektronischen Musik gekommen?

Ich bin dank meines großen Bruders früh mit House Music in Kontakt gekommen. Bei uns auf dem Land in Sachsen Anhalt gab es damals eine sehr aktive Szene und viele Jugendliche aus unserem Dorf haben sehr früh angefangen aufzulegen. So habe ich auch mit 14 meine ersten Plattenspieler bekommen und vor allem Disco House, Vocal House und French House aufgelegt. Meine großen Vorbilder waren damals Armand Van Helden, Bad Boy Bill, Fat Boy Slim und natürlich einige regionale Djs wie z.B. Manuel Beat.

 
- Was macht für dich eine gute Afterhour aus?

Zu einer guten Afterhour gehören für mich die richtigen Leute. Eine bunte offene Truppe mit der man Schabernack treiben kann!

-	Welche Überlegungen hattest du beim Erstellen des Podcasts?

 Ich habe mich sehr gefreut mit diesem Set zu meinen Wurzeln zurückkehren zu können. Viele von den Tracks lagen schon länger auf meiner Festplatte und ich wollte sie unbedingt mal in einem Set spielen, bisher hatte es aber nie gepasst. Zudem bin ich auch sehr froh, dass ich einen bisher unveröffentlichten Song von meinen guten Freund Shahin einbauen zu können (Shahin – Sunny Beam ab 26Min.).

Wir betreten ein graues, kühles und sehr funktional eingerichtetes Gebäude. Eines dieser typischen Behörden-Häuser. Unser Ziel ist klar doch der Weg dahin verworren. Die erste Anfrage am Empfang wurde bereits harsch abgeblockt. Die Eintragung einer Galeere würde man bei der Hafenkommandantur beantragen müssen. Doch das war nicht unser Anliegen, wir sind auf der Suche nach einem Passierschein. Der Empfang würde uns da wenig weiterhelfen können. So irrten wir verloren wie in einem Labyrinth durch die endlosen Korridore und Stockwerke. Kryptische und gut versteckte Lagepläne gaben auch keine erhellenden Anhaltspunkte. Wie wir so durch die Gänge wandeln scheint sich unser Verstand langsam aufzulösen. Türen sind nicht mehr da wo sie zu sein scheinen, Nummern nicht mehr in der richtigen Reihenfolge und das Handeln der Menschen in diesen Gemäuern folgt keinem logischen Muster mehr.
Da wir ein mal das Eine und dann wieder dasselbe wollen, werden die Menschen hier nicht schlau aus uns. Das versetzt die träge Masse in Aufruhr und bald herrscht ein heilloses durcheinander. Die alten grauen Krawattenträger verwandeln sich in aufgescheuchte Hühner und verwenden plötzlich alltägliches Büromaterial als kreative Instrumente. Die Empfangshalle verwandelt sich in ein Tollhaus der bunten Töne und wir sind mittendrin. Inspirierende Klänge strömen auf uns ein und wir sagen auch dem letzten bisschen Verstand Lebewohl. Wir lassen und mitreißen und verlieren uns in dieser Welt die keiner bekannten Gesetzmäßigkeit mehr zu folgen scheint bis ein Stimme ertönt und fragt „Was wollt ihr eigentlich“? Wir wollen nur den Passierschein A38!  

Unser heutiger Gast hat bereits auf der diesjährigen Fusion die Grenzen des musikalisch möglichen gesprengt und und den Verstand der Menschen betäubt. Mit seiner deep story wiederholt er nun dieses Kunststück!
