People who know me know I don’t like playing short sets or doing short mixes. I haven’t done a mix for about 3 years because I can cross so many genres which you cant do in a 60 minute or 90 minute set. Doing mixes so short doesn’t really show what I can do. For me it’s about the journey. The interesting bits in-between all the chaos that build it up to the chaos making those peaks more enjoyable. It’s easy to showcase a short mix of hits. The trick is being to program a mix for about 3 hours that’s actually interesting and not just full of peak moments. So when I was asked by 333 to do a mix knowing I would be able to showcase and cross most of my genres, I jumped at the chance.

Of course, warming up for such legendary DJs is itself an honor, but this night was particularly special as it brought out so many friends who had not been out in a long time, adding to the pressure of crafting the right progression to fill the room and set up the rest of the night, in a way that equally respects both the headliner and partygoer. PFG, Happy Birthday! As is customary when our birthday comes around, we love to give something back to our members, and this year is no different. We are used to hearing world class DJ's delivering sets by now, so for our birthday we had to raise the bar. We haven't done too badly even if we do say so ourselves! 

Ladies & Gent's delivering a near four hour mix, please give it up for the legendary Kasey Taylor!

One of the most loved names on the Australian dance music scene, Kasey Taylor made his mark in his hometown of Melbourne, prompting John Digweed to scout him in the mid-nineties to play at his infamous Bedrock night in London. That was the catalyst for Taylor to take his sound to a global audience, leading to international exposure and a permanent move to Europe to satiate the demands of his worldwide bookings. 

Currently, he is the creative power behind no less than 3 Record Labels. This includes the highly revered Vapour Recordings, the 24-year old mainstay which is over 150 releases deep, and the off-shoot imprint eVapour8, which topped the Beatport charts at number 1 for 8 weeks with its very first release. The most recent addition to his portfolio is Lo-Fi 45, which has seen Kasey take on a mentor role to use his years of experience to identify, sign and nurture local Australian talent.

More recently Kasey is going through a resurgence, not only is he experiencing a personal and creative renaissance, but he has just completed a rebranding across the board. Vapour Recordings has gone through a massive revamp which will include a new online portal, merchandise and more. This will also coincide with a release roster of new music that is already creating excitement with some of the scene’s biggest players, and some of which can be heard in this mix!

I had the pleasure of being asked to return back to Evolution 2022 - Tree of Life festival after so long away due to the all the pandemic nonsense..

To be able to travel again is fantastic, to be able to travel and play on the road again is even more unbelievable. I think we were all starting to think we were going to be locked down for life! Especially us Australians who did it particularly tough with the extent and length of all the restrictions.

This was and will be one of my favourite sets of this tour and it was only my first gig on it. The fact I got to play for 4 hours on a massive rig at a festival in front of a super intelligent crowd made it all the more fun. 

Everyone knows I hate playing short sets and doing short mixes that's why I don't do choose to do many of either. I pick and choose my battles these days to make sure I get the gigs and sets where I can maximise my true abilities rather than slam out 10 x 1 hour mixes a year of meaningless rushed sets of each months hits. For me this proves nothing other than keeping social media relevant which is a nessasary evil but that's my personal opinion. Music is and should always be about a journey no matter what genre and unless I feel I can have to the right tools to be able deliver that for me it's a pointless exercise, especially when I can cross so many genres's in a gig.

Playing overseas again has reignited my faith in underground dance music.

Her ‘Different Places’ track with NorB on Bedrock was chosen as part of Digweed’s ‘Live in London’ Limited Edition cd & vinyl + her collab with Fractal Architect - ‘Rubicon’ - just came out on Cinematique.  

Closing things out Dec 2nd is another big one with her 7th release of the year - 3 new tracks with NorB on Digweed’s Quattro III album - honourable milestones for any artist.

Fresh off headline sets in October at two of the top London clubs - FOLD & E1 Warehouse - she’s also host of Undercurrents, a top-rated show on DIFM, and in addition to several new productions in the works, will be heading for her first India tour in Nov-Dec.

Born out of the renowned, best-selling Yin : Yang label concept, musical discourse is brought to life through the meticulous choices of Tripp Baronner – DJ, curator and full-time member of the Proton team. Presenting “Dialectics,” a monthly show airs on Proton Radio and DI.fm showcasing the finest underground music talent in two contrasting but inextricably linked hours.

Part 1 sees Yin thematically represented while Yang is juxtaposed through Part 2. Intimately interconnected while fluid by design, resident hosts alternate and interchange with guest artists to create a dynamic dialectical discourse.

Thank you to everyone who tuned in to my All Day I Stream livestream. I really enjoyed this one a lot. 

To anyone who might be discovering me for the first time, here's a bit about what I do; as well as being a DJ I run Warm Up which I founded in 2013. Warm Up is a community driven brand delivering regular events and raves across London's night clubs, warehouses, forests and other kinds of naughty and mysterious spaces... 

Last year we also launched Warm Up Festival, three days and nights of emotive electronic dance music, celebrated in the depths of a Hertfordshire pine forest. Obviously we had to cancel last summers inaugural event due to Covid, but we are feeling very optimistic that Warm Up Festival will be happening this August.
