For this special Flow Sessions mix, I wanted to do something different—something that drifts away from the high-energy, peak-time rhythms we’re used to and takes you on a slower, more introspective journey. I’ve dialed things back to create a mix that’s deep, organic, and emotionally resonant.

This isn’t just a mix; it’s a story. It’s a journey through sound that touches on moments and memories that mean something to me, and I hope it stirs something in you, too. You’ll find tracks that hold a special place in my heart, with artists like Daniel Bortz, Mano Le Tough, David August and Dixon. Our mood changed, we drifted more and more into the depths of the collection.

LOCi lives in Munich and is the resident DJ of the Blütezeit Kollektiv. His sets are genre-fluid and move between Afrohouse, Indie Dance, Techhouse and Techno. His premise is: driving bass, lots of percussion or a dark surprise alongside the happy O-tone. In this way, he creates an atmosphere that shows the diversity of electronic music and allows the dancers to lose themselves in the moment.
We became aware of Loci through his wonderful set at last year's Wurzelfestival, which also made it into our “best of festival playlist”. Enjoy the deep story from LOCi!

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.In 2015, he founded the DJ collective “deep stories” together with Kork, which is very successful with its podcast series on Soundcloud thanks to its innovative concept. He is currently on tour in Hamburg and Berlin with the deep stories showcase.

Flows 092 - The Doubljuh (Journey to Flows Festival)

This 333 flow session mix started with one song. I found it last year and instantly knew — this is how I want to open the journey: with a powerful message. I’ve always loved afro house, how uplifting and joyous it is, but I also adore the deep, driving bass lines of deep house and tech house. So having the freedom of time that a 333 flow session offers felt so exciting and inspiring. It gave me permission to explore my range — to go to funky, sensual, introspective, and unexpected places. 

Corr once told me music can’t be boxed inside a genre, and I felt that so deeply while making this mix. It became clear that I don’t fit in a box either. Each track I chose moves something inside of me, expresses a different flavour of who I am, and represents something I stand for. It’s not just a flow session — it’s a reflection of the human experience. We’re not linear beings. We’re full of complexity, emotion, and contrast — and I wanted that to be felt. 

One track in particular, ‘Searching For’ by Xinobi and Lazarusman, really captures that essence. The deep house simplicity, the spoken word, the question — What is it you are searching for? — it hits me every time. It speaks to my philosophical nature and always makes me pause and reflect. I hope this mix does the same for whoever listens. That it moves you, questions you, and gives you permission to feel it all.
