Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint continues their Bandcamp Exclusives with the 2022 edition of their Summer Sampler Series. As a long running label tradition, Sound Avenue’s seasonal sampler series has been a landing spot for artists across the globe. A broader vision has seen the imprint and series evolve, now encompassing a cornucopia of sounds and styles. While still firmly rooted in all spectrums of house music, the Belgian imprint frequently touches on ambient, electronica, dub techno and more; resulting in a cohesive sound that is both colourful and contemporary. Perhaps best suited to a free-thinking platform such as Bandcamp, the 2022 edition of the Summer Sampler series has allowed label boss Madloch to stretch his creative vision one notch further, inviting Darren Bray, Facundo Borras, J.P. Velardi, Missfeat and Omar Essa & Luxury Problems to present some of their most avant-garde music to date.

As winter's darkness descents on the northern hemisphere, TOR provides genuine warmth with a meeting of melodic masters.

LA-based classical crossover pianist Van-Anh Nguyen and Aussie producer Mark Olsen have been crafting a distinct blend of electronica & orchestral tones as Double Touch, which has seen them ascend to the pinnacle of our scene through projects with All Day I Dream and TRYBESof.

German duo Flowers On Monday are rooted in community, connecting global tastemakers around a sound brimming with benevolent beats with releases on Do Not Sit on the Furniture and the new All Day I Dream In Waves.

Individually, these are four of the most talented artists in modern melodic dance music. Together, they are nothing short of a supergroup. We are thrilled to announce their debut on TOR with the new collaborative single - Lasting.

Crisp percussion and riveting rhythms set us deep into the groove on Lasting, while a warm bassline keeps the feet flowing. Chopped vocal cuts allow minds to wander, with floating melodies perusing across pianos, strings, and synths. Sensational sounds from start to finish.

Double Touch & Flowers on Monday also provide an 'Atmos Mix' of Lasting, dropping the arrangement deep into blissful territory, with full focus on the magical melody for the quiet moments to come.

The iconic club by the Spree celebrates 20 years with a mammoth 20 track compilation of new and unreleased tracks exclusive to the compilation. From Sasha to Anja Schneider, Henrik Schwarz and Adana Twins, right through to the ascendent names such as JAMIIE, Kristin Velvet, JOPLYN and Biesmans, the compilation is an exhilarating snapshot of some of the artists who have shaped Watergate’s sound; both via the label and through laying down unforgettable sets at the club over a two-decade period. 
 
The highlight heavy compilation charts a course throughout all the deep, dark, euphoric, tech and even pop-laden corners of house music. Henrik Schwarz navigates a classic course via the vibey ‘You Need Attitude’, while JOPLYN brings soaring melodies and arresting vox with ‘Lima’. Biesmans is in characteristic sleek form with the sparkling nostalgic-soaked business of ‘Basic Bro’, before emerging stars Mia Mendi contribute a driving electro jam ‘Astromech’. 
 
The iconic Anja Schneider is an essential addition. The Berlin icon brings her A-Game with the big piano chords and gospel vocals of ‘Can’t You See Me No More’ before handing the baton to Extrawelt who comes strong with a delicious micro house serenade ‘Rover’. Sasha weaves a trademark masterful beast with ‘Wolf Cider, a dark and twisted weapon that’s packed with plenty of groove and low-end attitude. First premiered during her excellent Boiler Room session in 2019, Kristin Velvet’s ‘Wanted Competition’ is a propulsive gem that reinforces her position as one of the most exciting breakout producers of the last two years. 
 
Adana Twins are always on-point and they don’t disappoint with ‘Nacht’ a deviant, distorted house tool the belongs in every DJ’s back pocket. Matthias Meyer & Ryan Davis enjoy a superlative history on Watergate Records and share another ace ‘Genki’, a shimmering, drama-laden piece that morphs into a tougher psy-laden finish. New Watergate Agency signing DJEFF crafts an uplifting string-laden ace with ‘Cloud 7, showing off his impressive musicianship along the way, while Hyenah make an essential contribution with the funky key-driven houser ‘Going in Circles’. Club resident JAMIIE shares the wicked ‘Echoes’, which is pacey and hypnotizing in equal measures and brought to life by colourful arpeggios and a latticework of key patterns. The project rounds out on a stunning note with ‘Tone Trails’, a lilting slice of electronica by Watergate stalwart Marco Resmann & Lee Jones, which is inflected with organic guitar and dreamy melodies. 
 
The release will be presented as a triple gatefold vinyl using a special ink-spot color effect and will feature a collection of the compilation’s key tracks, while all tracks will be available digitally.

Gorje Hewek & Joseph Ashworth - Noa

Flow Music present the seventh release on their record label which features a deep and melodic original by Josh Richards alongside a collaborative remix from Anthony Pappa and Jamie Stevens.

Josh Richards is an Australian artist who dropped his first ever release via Flow Music and is making a return to the imprint with a spine-tingling follow up. His first release on the imprint was orientated around melodic house/techno, but this latest offering shows of his deeper and more organic side to his sound.

On remix duty is melodic house legend Anthony Pappa, who is an Australian artist known for his compilation mixes for brands such as Global Underground and Renaissance. He has also produced tracks for record label's such as John Digweed’s Bedrock.

Jamie Stevens is a fellow Australian who has previously collaborated with Anthony Pappa to produce tracks for imprints such as Dave Seaman's Selador. He has also dropped productions on highly influential imprints ranging from Guy J's Lost & Found to Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream.

The original mix of "Tranquil" opens the release with flowing percussion and a delicate steel drum melody that resonates warmth throughout the tracks, while the uplifting pads and ethereal vocals fill the track with soothing vibes.

Anthony Pappa and Jamie Stevens remix lifts the tempo and beefs up the drums as it unfolds to gradually introduce the original's melodic elements. The epic breakdown holds mesmerising suspense before plunging back into the moody atmosphere and tribal energy of the percussive sections.
