Flow State is back with the second installment of our mixtape series featuring special guest Miles Amillion.

Miles is a Miami-based producer, DJ, engineer, and all-around artist. With an impressive arsenal of hardware and an unstoppable creative mindset, Miles’ inimitable sound melds complex Latin percussion with Detroit electro, classic deep house, and assorted abstract elements. His track “Heavy Heads” was featured in Danny Daze’s Homecore! Miami All-Stars compilation last December and he just released the fourth and final installment of his “Disconnecting To Connect It All Again” project.

@surusinghe is one of many exciting Naarm/Melbourne artists to have broken through in the last couple of years. She has been working behind the scenes in the industry for a decade but only started to release her own music in 2022. Now based in London where she has co-founded the Phenomena label, she has an international mix of influences that make her club-ready sounds utterly thrilling. They all draw on the fact that she is a clubber first and foremost, and one proud of her Sri Lankan heritage. 

She goes big over the course of an hour for us this week and threads together plenty of body-popping rhythms from dembow to techno to wobbly London dubstep. She drops in several of her own tunes, one of which is unreleased, as are two others from Doctor Jeep and Tom Kami. It's a fresh and futuristic workout of high-octane sound from an adventurous DJ who always brings the party in fresh new ways.

Aleksandir (Alexander Lawrence) is an Istanbul-based DJ and producer. Alex’s first releases and debut album explored laid-back house, while his breakout hit ‘Yamaha’ (2018) hinted at a more club-ready sound and its overnight success threw him onto international stages, developing his skills as a DJ. In 2020, Aleksandir released his sophomore album ‘Skin’ on Omena, distilling disparate influence into inventive and emotive electronica. 
Off the back of a long writer’s block, recent singles ‘Sacro’, ‘Momus’ and ‘String Game’ see Aleksandir celebrating a newly found inspiration and love for the craft. Merging the serene calm and melodies of his previous work and a new taste for more unhinged, techno-leaning production. 
When he’s not noodling on Logic or nudging the jog wheel, Aleksandir co-pilots the Artesian Sounds label and co-curates the club night Miks in London.
