Why exactly does lesser dog take the role of the ruins dummy? It's interesting, I just don't understand why it's like that specifically for this.

Asgore swaps with Toriel. He has moved to the Crimson Valley, to improve with his gardening skills and help other monsters after his decision. His time is  very limited, because of helping others not only Chara. But whenever he can, he is helping you.

Air magic swaps with Fire. Yes, this is here. I never seen this swap, and so far i think its fun to work with. With the designs and everything else.

SUBSWITCH Soundtrack 004 - Welcoming Hug

since I don't have much dialogue, I'll just reiterate some interesting choices made for swapping the area and general things that you learn right off the bat.

so first of all, the flower bed is replaced with a little cave with a beach where some water comes in from, though it doesn't appear to have any exit.
and beyond a doorway from that, you can find what looks like a patch of grass with some reasonable gardening, and a tent and fire that were set up a while back, along with the valuables and tumble abode that is for Cherub- as they are not a simple flower and they have arms, meaning they can use things.

next, the ruins is effectively replaced with the caves and cliffs from Delta runes castle town, and later a town very much like Castle Town itself.
originally it was an area used from mining in the early days, but after most of its resources were dried up, it was turned into small tunnels with sections cut out for homes to live in.
not many people live here admittedly, but those who do are usually seeking seclusion and don't wish to be social.
well, besides the humble caretaker, but that's a different story for now.

generally as far as puzzles go, I have no idea, but I do know there would be a lot of tedious pathways due to you scaling pets that either have rocks bridges or rope bridges, both of which obviously old.
thankfully you have cherub to guide you, and they would most likely not let you fall.
not for too long at least.

some other basic things are safe Stars swap with hearts, meaning you carry within yourself an "Inner Light"- which can be very powerful when honed correctly.
also meaning that your equivalent of saving is finding a strangely random mailbox with a heart on it, in which you can open it, and often get a "Love-Letter" that might not have been addressed to you, but either way will give you something motivational.
and in further of this, you get "You are Loved/I Love You" instead of "You are filled with Determination"
other than that
- the monster friend font is stylistically replaced with the homestuck font because it looks cooler.
- the Delta Rune is replaced with something called the Omega scape, which is effectively a wheel of eyes, wings folded up, and The Almighty Starwalker- (I don't have much lower on this yet, so I will save it for later).
- Instead of a spider bake sale shop, you can enter a shop run by a one armed individual (no current name).


ideally this uses inspiration from my castle town, but also contains the Here We Are motif for later purposes- and the switch theme (thankfully not very obviously though, as I have plans to use that a little more specifically elsewhere ;D)
tho potentially that might just be the Xbox trailer theme- don't take my word for it.

Lesser Dog takes the role of the Ruins Dummy. They’re not here to fight, they’re a darling little fellow who sometimes wanders off from home to the Flooded City for some good old affection from the nearby folk.

The long hallway in the Ruins swaps with the long laser bridge from the CORE. Here, it’s an old and rickety suspension bridge, and there’s a lot of water just below it. Can Chara make it to the other side before the bridge collapses?
