Cobi from Love Sick Cowboy is a rapper and producer from Kingsburg Cal. They use snippets of samples to create a music collage of clicks, crackles, and loops to make unique left field hip hop reminiscent of the experimentation you will find on the Stones Throw label and those of warped records, like Flying Lotus. Cobi and I sat talked music, beat making, and what it's like to be an artist in a lovely town that may or may not get what it is we are trying to do with our art. An artist out of the 559 area! Born in Sacramento, adopted to a family out in Lemoore near the Fresno area, and lived out in Stockton for a long time! Now residing out in Visalia, this rapper was inspired alongside his friend FloydDroog to start making music and start a collective of rappers named Gutter Valley Collective or "GVC" for short. So far rappers include FloydDroog, FTB Bovice, FTB Mar, and Psychodelic. Cookie also is in a rap duo with FloydDroog called Gutter Kin. Check em' out!
