Aura, the eleventh volume of the Renascent series, presents 5 fascinating original mixes from the heart of incredible international talents such as Amir Telem (Israel), Tojogo (UK), Ari Fernan (Argentina), Markus Swarz (Germany) and CTP (France).

Renascent is a series of Various Artists releases all focused on the dance floor of daytime parties. The names included along the way are largely emerging and exciting producers from all over the world who are being welcomed into Cigarette Music home for the first time. Each Act is roughly out along every spring and autumn and is followed by a devoted re-mix release, where the concerning original tracks are revised by selected known international producers according to their style.

Toronto-based DJ/producer duo Beije is having a productive year. They’ve racked up over a dozen releases across ten labels in the first half of 2023 alone, including a magnetic remix of Sky Terrace resident Snowedin’s In Keeper’s Keep this spring. This week, they begin the thirteenth edition of Moonlight Mixtapes with the tranquil energy of a Balearic sunset before enticing us to dive deeper into a dichotomy between physicality and transcendence. Reinforced by selections of fresh favorites interspersed with Afro styling, progressive layers, and a scrapbook of found sounds, Beije’s sonic architecture reminds us of the workings of a clock: while each part is unique in shape and function, together they form an organic house journey whose destination is greater than the sum of its parts.

Cameron Jack teams up with Stones & Bones to deliver something truly special with their collaborative single ‘Ancestral Praise’ featuring Reine Mash.

The single sees London born Cameron Jack follow on from a slew of successful releases with ABRACADABRA, as well as a remix for Damian Lazarus’ iconic Crosstown Rebels imprint. South African duo Stones & Bones have been busy themselves, with their self-described “Afro-Rock” sound finding homes on labels such as Merecumbe Recordings, Movement Limited and Spitfire Music.

Cameron explains; “Casper and KG (Stones & Bones) reached out asking if I wanted to collaborate on one of their records for their latest release. They sent me a selection of really nice tracks to pick from. The minute I heard the vocal on Ancestral Praise I knew it was the one. I love working with uplifting vocals like this. Music for the soul!”
