It's a call for truth, justice, and true change. It's a plea for all Americans to unite and put an end to police brutality and the systemic racism that has existed and thrived in this country since it's inception. It's a demand for real justice and accountability and a plea for those in power, especially police officers and the government, to acknowledge our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It's a heartfelt request to stop looking at black people as simply statistics and to understand that we are people just like everyone else on this planet and that our lives, hopes, and dreams matter just as much as any other group of people living here in America. "Outside" was created in honor of California officially reopening and the reduction of statewide COVID19 cases after a long and tumultuous year. It details the pain, frustration, isolation, and turmoil of a year plagued by the pandemic and the feelings of sadness and loneliness from not being able to regularly see or spend time with those we care about. At the same time it is a celebration of the chance to finally get back out into the world and get back to enjoying the environment and the company of our loved ones and other fellow human beings. While the world we now live in is no longer the one we knew we can all still take solace in the fact that we can now come "Outside" again.
