Fluida, the innovative duo behind ‘(I Am) Human’ and ‘Branches’, return to Anjunadeep with their three-track EP ‘Welcome Home’. Since their label debut on Anjunadeep Explorations 03, the UK duo have been supported by Joris Voorn, Lee Burrdge and Sasha, and  released on labels including Get Physical, Kindisch and Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records; in addition to a series of special vinyl-only cuts via their own label. 

First featured on Anjunadeep 12, ‘Welcome Home’ opens the EP with soft melodies whilst ‘Reaching’ leads with percussive-laden rhythms. Final track ’Refuge’ is the EP’s deepest cut, comprising a driving bassline and a meticulously-crafted drum section that epitomises Fluida’s production style.

Our guests on the show this month are the super talented duo Fluida. Based in the UK, Fluida’s sound traverses between headphone listening and euphoric dance floor journeys. It's the perfect marriage of organic rhythms and electronic sounds. Their music manages to be both club friendly and intimate, and the end result is a breadth of sound that connects deeply with people both in the early night and those special moments in the morning. 

With releases out on Kindisch, Get Physical, Anjunadeep and more, we’re very proud to welcome them to the Loot Recordings catalog with their remix of Lucefora’s track “La Danza De Las Castanas”. XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the undergrounds finest heads.

Fluida have been favorites of the When We Dip team for some time now, crafting a unique blend of live-instrumental driven melodic house. The London-based duo have graced Anjunadeep, Do Not Sit & Kindisch, and hammered home a gorgeous remix of Alejandro Mosso’s Sirocco on XYZ in 2020. They now make their Selectors debut, showing a distinct balance of deep groove & low slung beats. Tune in!

Following the release of their EP ‘Welcome Home’, British duo Fluida return to the label with their three-track EP ‘Phoenix’. Since their label debut on Anjunadeep Explorations 03, the UK duo have been supported by Joris Voorn, Lee Burridge and Sasha, and released on labels including Get Physical, Kindisch and Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records; in addition to a series of special vinyl-only cuts via their own label.

Title track ‘Phoenix’ opens the EP, leading with an echoing vocal sample and a piano lead. ‘Trialing Jade’ features percussive-laden rhythms whilst EP closer ‘Afterglow’ compromises a meticulously-crafted drum section that showcases Fluida’s production style.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns this June for its tenth instalment. This time around we welcome a stellar lineup; six Anjunadeep alumni in Luttrell, Michael Cassette, Antic, Marsh, Just Her, and Fluida, and two label debutants in Wassu and Elif, all of whom will be playing at Anjunadeep: Explorations in Albania this summer.

An update on his 2016 belter ‘Need You’, Luttrell’s ‘Need You Now’ makes special use of his own vocals, building to a euphoric finish typical of the Beatport top ten producer.

After 8 years, Michael Cassette returns with the nostalgic ’Shadows Movement (Solar Energy Remake)’. An update on his 2008 label classic, the cut affirms Cassette’s high-energy production is as powerful as ever.

His fourth release on Anjunadeep, Antic’s mesmerisingly intense ‘Next Time’ plies his own vocals amongst a deep, acid-led arrangement perfect for those late hot nights.

A sure staple of summer 2019, ‘Like You’ is a collaboration between Marsh and New York producer and friend Wassu (FKA Weston Butler). This sweet cut sees Marsh’s own vocal drift on top of a sublime chord progression and distant field recordings.

A darker turn, Just Her’s invigorating ‘Nothing But Time’ marks the Brighton-based producer and Essential New Tune recipient’s third Explorations appearance.

Exotic duo Fluida return to Anjunadeep for their third release ‘Indian Kicks’; the track’s uplifting arrangement and rousing percussion stemming from samples of their own field recordings in India.

Closing out the release is the enlivening ‘Random Act of Kindness’, from label debutant Elif. Istanbul born, Amsterdam-based, Elif’s nomadic lifestyle is reflected in her multi-faceted production.

Fluida, the innovative duo behind ‘We’re So Far’ are set to return with their EP ‘A Self And A Mind’. The title track is a percussion-driven cut featuring the pair’s signature steel pan hang drum. Known for their uniquely live-DJ sets, Fluida’s performances routinely feature the inclusion of live instruments over the production - a nod to their original roots in live performance.

Previous releases from the UK duo have come via Supernature, Get Physical, Kindisch and Fatboy Slim’s ‘Southern Fried Records’ in addition to a series of special vinyl-only cuts via their own label. ‘A Self And A Mind’ is set for release on 19 July via Anjunadeep.

Fluida - A Self And A Mind [Anjunadeep]

For their debut release on Ambious Records, UK based FLUIDA have put together an organic masterpiece that sets the tone with live hang drum recordings and elemental grooves that flow effortlessly throughout this euphoric 2 track EP. With support already coming in from ………. We can’t wait for this release to showcase the immense talent that these two young producers have to offer.

The title track off the EP, ‘Asuba’, introduces us to the enchanting groove that has pushed Fluida to such great heights, with an atmosphere that draws you in and tribal grooves that bring things closer to home. Setting the standard high for the EP and allowing us to get a sense of who these producers really are. A  definite standout intro track for any set. 

The second track off the EP, ‘Yamma’, adds to the mystery of this release with hypnotic echos and melodic percussion that slowly captivates the underlying harmonies of the track without compromising its simplicity and effectiveness. Ethereal vocal’s layer the natural percussive elements, while providing a backdrop to the effortless groove that the guys have layered into its core. Ending the EP on a high note and showcasing exactly where FLUIDA are headed.
