I live on an Island and met a woman in scotland. I wrote this song within a few hours between two days. I haven't finished a song in over 5 years. This was a first in a while. Each verse has a season. The idea is that it could be sung before bed time.

Mechanical Being

A short piano piece written years ago. I held off from releasing it as I felt it was about an encounter I had yet to experience. That time came.

Some things are as beautiful as butterflies; yet they can sometimes only last as short as a day.
This is about a precious but fleeting encounter. The invocation of the pure, authentic and powerful energies of unconditional love. The nostalgic embrace of two souls dancing can shatter the universe across space and time creating the most incredible of moments. The truth is, this dance could only last as long as the ephemeral butterfly. The beauty expressed here hides a longing for something that could last longer. The song ends with a question, initially thought as a mistake during the recording, yet inherently raises the question:
Does the dance end there?
