“I was in Palm Springs listening to a ton of Bonobo records back to back. I wanted to create something similar by using organic, world-influenced sounds but with my own flavor and this was the end result. Everything was based around that vocal phrase and the kalimba. Once I had a good drum groove going along with those, I sent it to my friend Harvey who helped me shape the structure of the song and add some melodies underneath.” - Rome in Silver

I came up with the lyrics for the pre chorus and the melody in the shower and then showed it to Christian and we pretty much finished this in one night even including mixing and mastering it. It's something I'm pretty proud of and had a lot of fun working on.

I wrote and recorded this album over the past several months and each of its tracks comes from a different facet of my life. A lot of stories and dreams coming together to create a larger project. So much has happened since I first started making these tracks that when I listen to them now, they seem like snapshots from completely different times.
