For jcore, the dancefloor is a meditative sanctuary. The Braket (@braket.sf) resident started her journey into the underground as a form of music therapy, immersing herself in rich soundscapes and dark warehouses to achieve a state of embodiment that was otherwise difficult to access. Eventually, she began exploring her own sound, performing at underground parties and established San Francisco venues like F8 and the Stud.

These experiences profoundly shaped her approach to mixing: while her taste spans a wide spectrum of genres, from the deeper side of techno and bass to the frenetic energy of jungle, footwork, and braindance, her sets are unified by a focus on hypnotic textures, sound design, and minimalism, as well as a strong commitment to leftfield and experimental music. This ethos extends to her passion for hardware and soundsystems, which she indulges by sharing gear and co-producing heady, community-oriented events with her collective.

"Lately, I've been drawn to ethereal textures, hypnotic tracks, and syncopated grooves. For this mix, I decided to combine these two flavors for a descent from heaven to the abyss, starting with classic ambient jungle and progressing to wobbly braindance and minimal drum and bass.
