Angel Marcloid & Alana Schachtel (Lipsticism) team up to bring you some "new age emo." 🤪

Angel has always been drawn to the keyboards & synths prevalent in the 80s arena rock & sophistipop ballads she grew up with, as well as the Weather Channel's brand of new age & ambient music that escorted her through her childhood. When she discovered the classic second-wave emo sound in the mid 90s, she would often ponder how well washy & sparkly textures would complement the style & sensibilities of the genre.

"How fucking cool would it be if Mineral's Endserenading was doused in Korg Wavestation & M1 presets with the reverb all the way up? It would take away some of the rawness of it, but at the same time it would really enhance the emotion & dreamy quality that is already there. Mineral should've released a different version of that album with Davol and Enya as guest composers, & maybe Michael Omartian on the production."

Race For Titles is named after a short-lived, virtually unknown Omaha emo band of the same name. Their self-titled record has always been an inspiration...  more

Race For Titles Feat. Lipsticism

After all the celebrations due to our 50th release, what better way to come back than with Ozcän Saraç.
This artist who has been on our radar for some time due to his excellent releases on Kaer'Uiks, Superpang or Tokinogake presents us a selection of tracks which in my opinion are connected to each other.

Throughout the listening of this album you will appreciate how the palette of sounds that Özcan plays with is present in almost all if not all the compositions, this conceptual form of sound treatment creates a link between the listener and the artist as it requires an active listening to understand the journey that Özcan is inviting us to.

One of the impressions I had after the different listens I have had of the album is that if you want to get the same sensations you have to repeat the journey again.
Once you get on board it's hard to get out of that enveloping sound that all the tracks are endowed with, it becomes addictive honestly.

A great album to enjoy long walks, or long trips will also be very appreciated for audiophiles, the sound treatment is excellent.

Entre sonorités afro-caribéennes et techno, cette compilation célèbre la richesse et la diversité des genres musicaux qui résonnent dans l'univers du DJ-producteur. "Les styles présents sur cet opus reflètent l'énergie que je cherche à insuffler lors de mes soirées, explorant des esthétiques sonores variées", conclut-il.
