Aspetuck is an American producer & DJ fascinated by groove & rhythm as well as the hypnotic nature of the deeper sides of electronic music. Growing up in sleepy Vermont, without easy access to any inkling of a nightlife scene, the internet was Aspetuck's only form of musical discovery for those formative days. Years later, after living in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Aspetuck was very quickly drawn into the robust nightlife cultures of both cities that was so absent in the rural hills of the northeast. He is not only inspired by the current scene but also heavily inspired by genres outside of the contemporary electronic world including but not limited to krautrock, dub, new wave / post-punk, shoegaze, jazz, soul & funk.  Immersing himself in both music production and photography, two creative outlets that seemingly complement & balance each other, he is quietly finding his voice with the help of a broad range of influences to draw from.

We all need to heal, we all need to learn to release people, things and unhealthy attachments we keep in our lives or within ourselves. It is not easy when it comes to relationships, friendships, family and our own internal attachments related to our past experiences, but as soon as we realize that some of those emotional bonds are blocking our growth and well-being, we need to make the decision to let go.

For all those who are going through such an uneasy period in life, I have prepared a little meditative journey bringing the Peace from the faraway Worlds. This one is the very first one which is fully spiritually oriented and it evolves in slow 111 BPM. 

With every mix I have ever prepared I healed myself from different kind of bad energies, emotional pain and mental struggles, and this Hypnotherapy of mine is dedicated to release our negative attachments specifically.

Psycho Panther returns with another deep and atmospheric journey, delivering four meticulously crafted tracks that balance rhythm and melody with precision. Mood Series #134 highlights his ability to create intricate sonic landscapes that are expansive and hypnotic.
‘Vertex’ opens with a vast expanse of atmospheric chords, crisp percussion and an evolving structure that unfolds over ten minutes. Layers of sound build and shift, pulling the listener deeper into its hypnotic sway. A strong opener that pulls you in for the experience ahead. Following up, ‘Lethal Ballet’ leans into a tougher groove, its steady pulse driving through a haze of melody. The break offers a dreamlike moment before the beat snaps back in, layering rhythms that subtly shift the track’s momentum. It’s a piece built on movement and contrast, blending toughness with elegance. ‘Attitude’ slows things down with a broken beat structure, weaving moody keyboard tones into a mesmerising web of percussive cycles. There’s an effortless depth to the composition, its melodies unfurling like autumn air—crisp, cool and full of space to breathe. The production feels fluid yet intentional, shaping an atmosphere that lingers. This mix has been brewing in my head for a while now.. An inkling of it first started to pop up back in October while we were at our biannual Delayed gathering in the mountains of upstate New York. I played a set with a dear friend on the Sunday morning there - cozy & hopeful music from various corners of our collections that don't get played very often but are set aside for special moments. My favorite kind of music.. It was one of the most memorable sets I've played & brought up a ton of emotions & memories from past experiences hearing some of those songs. Memories from my wedding, memories of my brother, memories from times living in Los Angeles when Sundays were all about lounging around all day in the sunshine after nights of dancing into the early hours of the morning. We laughed, cried, danced, ate lunch, all over the course of the morning into the early afternoon. It laid the foundation for how I wanted to approach this mix for Zach.

Sundays for me have always been a day of healing - mentally, physically, emotionally. It's a day to seek inner peace & a day to be reminded of everything you have to be grateful for in spite of anything else. I recorded this mix on a rainy Saturday earlier this month, channeling all of those memories & feelings, with my dog by my feet while my wife & daughter wandered about the house, making beaded bracelets & doing various arts & crafts.

From me to you, a warm hug & the promise of spring.

VIT, a producer hailing from Kharkiv, Ukraine, makes his debut on the ever-growing Mood Series with Spotting, the 138th release in the series. The opener, 'Spotting', has an active bassline that commands attention. It grooves effortlessly with crisp production, while the breezy, aquatic melodic elements conjure an island-like feel. The use of tribal percussion adds a primal edge while the chords here float like woodwind instruments, delivering a sense of calm and beauty that lingers throughout. 'Indistinctive' follows with a more taught and precise beat, setting the track's pulse with a rolling bassline. The busy chord work plays a crucial role in building the track’s energy, providing the main hook that balances out the intensity. The intricate interplay between the bass and chord progressions keeps the track moving, with a subtle tension that drives the track forward. Die Mischung von Dub und Techno gibt’s ja schon eine Weile. Aber wie der gute JPattersson sie anrührt, erfüllt alle Kriterien für das, was man gemeinhin als frisch und spannend bezeichnet. Seine rustikalen Grooves stehen für draufgängerische Tanzbarkeit in waschechter ProgaDub Manier, der Klang seiner Trompete für eine Gefühlsintesität, die es in der digitalen Musikwelt so nicht gibt. Das zentrale Element von Elevator ist aber die Stimme - bzw. die ansteckende Lässigkeit, die sie verbreitet. Mit der Dub Version liefert uns JPattersson einen in Rhythmus und Melodie gebannten Sommertag. Es wird tatsächlich noch spannender, denn eine handverlesene Meute aus dem Acker-Umfeld hat Elevator geremixt. Timboletti kommt im Digitalrelease mit schleppend-bewusstseinserweiterndem Afterhour Groove. Dole & Kom gestalten das Teil zur hintergründigen Hymne um. Und Mollono.Bass schafft in der stilistischen Schnittmenge von Dub Version und Original eine hochgradig tanzbare Ryhthmuskulisse für die schwerelose Trompete.

The mix of Dub and Techno is not exactly new. However, JPattersson found a way to combine these genres in a way that checks all the boxes to be classified as fresh and exciting. His rustic Progadub grooves burst with reckless danceability, the sound of his tumpet has an emotional intensity that simply doesn’t exist in the digital music domain. But the catchiest element of his track Elevator is yet another one: It’s his voice and its contagious casualness. The Dub Version of this track is a bright summer day turned into rhythm and melody. It gets even more exciting than this, as a hand-selected group of party heads from the Acker family has remixed Elevator. Timboletti turned it into a slow, delirious afterhour groove (digital only). Dole & Kom redesigned it into an understated anthem. And Mollono.Bass created an energetic rhythm environment for the weightless trumpet that feels like it’s vibrating right in middle between the original and the Dub Version of Elevator.
