Going Back 13 years ago!! 
This is the last track of the Live Show we did tour supporting The XX in their US tour back in Oct 2012 where we made a live medley with Cheaters vs Sunshine. We never had a recording but Pional found it recently in a HD so here it is. 

In this first tour we decided to play with a setup full of synths, pads, percussions and vocal mics with Helicons, and we we're mixing ourselves on stage without sound engineer in front of 5-8k people every night before The XX . We had one mixer each with our instruments that we were sending to a central mixer with sendings and returns. It was a bit wild to handle
and I still wonder how we did it but it worked pretty well for a first live tour :p 
DIY way.

Vertex is a label collaboration between Verdant Recordings [Andy Green] & Exalt Records [Jamie Bargeman] releasing underground electronic music across the deep spectrum.   

Our fourth release is from the studio of Havantepe (Ismail Genc) highly regarded and loved for his elegant, meticulously produced deep techno that has been moving dance floors and satisfying discerning minds for the last 2 decades.   His collectable and prized records have been released by Baum, 200, Grounded in Humanity, Berg Audio, Luck of Access and of course several tracks & remixes on Verdant Recs.

Rain on Window was conceived when Andy and Ismail finally got to hang out in  Istanbul a couple of summer’s ago.  There are 5 tracks on the vinyl and a bonus tracks appears on the digital release.  Overcast is sublime, emotional electro based percussion layered with signature Havantepe feels and melodies.   For Rain on Window and Condensation the bpms are taken higher for head down dub techno stompers.  Verdant regular Stojche contributes a brilliant version of Rain on Window, acknowledging the truest flavours and spirit of dub editing.    Insiders Ulf & Ralf make their debut vinyl appearance with their atmospheric bealtess, ‘Cloudburst’ reconstruction of Overcast.

It captures the quiet tension of a waiting world: a cinematic drift through instrumentals and textures that evoke both vulnerability and vastness. Die Mischung von Dub und Techno gibt’s ja schon eine Weile. Aber wie der gute JPattersson sie anrührt, erfüllt alle Kriterien für das, was man gemeinhin als frisch und spannend bezeichnet. Seine rustikalen Grooves stehen für draufgängerische Tanzbarkeit in waschechter ProgaDub Manier, der Klang seiner Trompete für eine Gefühlsintesität, die es in der digitalen Musikwelt so nicht gibt. Das zentrale Element von Elevator ist aber die Stimme - bzw. die ansteckende Lässigkeit, die sie verbreitet. Mit der Dub Version liefert uns JPattersson einen in Rhythmus und Melodie gebannten Sommertag. Es wird tatsächlich noch spannender, denn eine handverlesene Meute aus dem Acker-Umfeld hat Elevator geremixt. Timboletti kommt im Digitalrelease mit schleppend-bewusstseinserweiterndem Afterhour Groove. Dole & Kom gestalten das Teil zur hintergründigen Hymne um. Und Mollono.Bass schafft in der stilistischen Schnittmenge von Dub Version und Original eine hochgradig tanzbare Ryhthmuskulisse für die schwerelose Trompete.

The mix of Dub and Techno is not exactly new. However, JPattersson found a way to combine these genres in a way that checks all the boxes to be classified as fresh and exciting. His rustic Progadub grooves burst with reckless danceability, the sound of his tumpet has an emotional intensity that simply doesn’t exist in the digital music domain. But the catchiest element of his track Elevator is yet another one: It’s his voice and its contagious casualness. The Dub Version of this track is a bright summer day turned into rhythm and melody. It gets even more exciting than this, as a hand-selected group of party heads from the Acker family has remixed Elevator. Timboletti turned it into a slow, delirious afterhour groove (digital only). Dole & Kom redesigned it into an understated anthem. And Mollono.Bass created an energetic rhythm environment for the weightless trumpet that feels like it’s vibrating right in middle between the original and the Dub Version of Elevator.
