Les Collons [A mix for lonely souls]

Through the fog, the lights flicker. Illuminating the rhythmic movements of formless dancers below. Each lost in their own world of interpretations while the drums beat steadily onward. Warbling melodies following suit, appearing from the depths only to jump from side to side, leaving their mark on the captive audience. 

The textured sounds of De Register by Conoley Ospovat provide all of the above and more, as well as marking the release of his latest offering on Diffuse Reality Records affiliate Teorema Festival. 826 G Street is a 10 track album that is shows off the midwesterners production talents as Ospovat glides through ambient, downtempo, and house so effortlessly.

De-Register and the rest of 826 G Street will be released into the world on May 4th.

Dub abounds in today’s Delayed premiere, with the mysterious Special Zip behind the force that is ‘Ufologist’. The sci-fi drenched tune brings visions of space and times of the far future into the forefront of the listener's minds. Visions that seem to ebb and flow along with the groovy bassline and organ leads. As each moment passes, the drive of the track thrusts the listener farther into this surreal mental scene, where closing your eyes and losing yourself may be the best solution. 

Ufologist, and in turn the rest of Special Zips’ Minimal Antagonist release will be out on the 25th of February, on Dutch label spclnch.

PREMIERE: Special Zip – Ufologist [spclnch]

Born in Siberia and spent most of my childhood in Moldova I was exposed to a variety of folk and ethnic music. I always thoroughly enjoyed playing with my stereo and drumming to the rhythms using house chairs. Music always fascinated me as a tool of transformation into a different reality. I began my DJ carrier playing tunes at the house parties and friend’s birthdays and weddings. I live in NYC now more then two decades and consider myself a New Yorker. I organize dozens of concerts and parties in NYC each year. My music interests vary, I like to play across the board Ska, Reggae, Rocksteady, Jazzy Hip-Hop, Afro Beat, Funk, Disco, Retro, World music. I collect Vinyl Records. I love setting the dance floor on fire using my unique mixture of world rhythms. I produced “Swingin’Penguin” Electro Swing Parties, Soviet 80′s Parties, as well Multiple Live Concerts and Events.
