The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Gigi Galli. The Italian artist lands on Manchester’s DRØNE with Mind Transmissions, eight tracks of raw, unpolished electronics and techno. Dark, ominous and defiantly old school production techniques,  every track speaks for itself. Today we premiere the killer remix by  of “Sgretolato” by Leipzig's Blac Kolor, who slows it down and comes up with something beautiful, far away from the original source in his own inimitable style. Overall this is a strong release that's not afraid to eschew fashions and speaks from the soul of the artist.

OBWIGSZYH - Kontroll - Start your set with this killer piece.  Lush and melancholy pads pull you in and a 4X4 kick keeps everything in place. Hypnotizing leads and hit-hats that sting, this track sets the mood perfectly.

MO DR - Larch Root - Breakin’ up the beats and adding more darkness then ever before is this smasher. Waves of kicks and bass coming in one after another, flowing, with snares grabbing at you, trying to tug you under. 

IXIAN - Heretics of Ix - Soul-stirring, chugging low kicks will make their way into your dark thoughts while haunting vocals whisper in your ear.  Black magic mixed with modulating analog synths will send chills to the spine. 

FNT2 - Massing on Border - Teasing you with filtered kicks and then unleashing the hounds of bass hell to make this track destroy your dancefloor.  Slicing and dicing snares almost cut you. No mercy. 

VENDEX - Holy Company - Keeping it EBM with retro influences is this heavy hitter.  Vocals embellishing the hard af kicks. A peak-timer that will slay.

THE FIFTH STIGMA - Where Paths Divide

The second SPLIT record of the Pi Electronics sub-catalogue kicks off 2022's release schedule, combining music by Ontal, the duo hailing from Serbia and Athens based producer, DΛS.

After 4 years, Ontal return to the label, with ‘Almagest’ Parts I & II on the A side, giving two different interpretations of their trademark industrial textured techno. One with a focus on the bassline and one kick drum oriented version.

The B side of SPLIT#2 hosts Athens techno producer and label resident DΛS, presenting his music for the very first time on vinyl. Driving, broken beat techno with an industrial edge.

Noise injections, entangled and syncopated distorted rhythms, industrial layers, cinematic atmospheres and apocalyptic synthetic patterns are elements characterizing Consistency Of a Surface by Nemrac (@nemrac-official), which we premiere today. The song is included in his upcoming release Driving Tension, which will be released by Monolith Records (@monolith-records) on 24th February.

What would, could, should embody life in 2022 more than burn-out? Fuel, money, our minds, they all burn in the searing heat of this intense year. But many things that feel intense can also be cleansing, be that fire, personal challenges or music.

This story is told by the next release on Loose Lips, our label’s second vinyl release and first vinyl release put out purely by ourselves. Overcoming all kind of covid-related shipping challenges, we are finally ready to share it with the world!

The EP is by good friend, LL resident and truly innovative producer, Rommek. A raw, cathartic gem for the times of raw-dogging reality - a number of his mind-bending productions showcasing different sides to his journey from 2014-2021, accompanied by a fiery fine-tuned remix by boundary-pushing duo, Lakker.

Rommek’s musical world is wide and varied, as a DJ he plays out everything from Breakbeat to Post-Punk, as a member of the duo Torn Relics he bounces synthetic chaos off the violin lines courtesy of bandmate (and now wife!!!) Aimée Mullen. This release pares all of that back, plunging the listener through smoke and ash and into the abstract. Come now, it is time to acknowledge this wound.

A title suggesting urban brutalism, how fitting for the 5th MONOLITH album on HANDS - and his 12th in total - a very special addition to the eminent discography of Eric van Wonterghem. As passionate as ever, this is arguably the most comprehensive Monolith album so far, encompassing a wide range of moods and making the best use of his vast background in producing: Rhythmic and repetitive hard dance music, but also atmospheric and inspiring listening, truly intense 75 minutes.
The Concrete Playground has something to offer for everyone – dark and secluded tracks for contemplation like the opener “Immortal” or “The Gate of Light”, cheeky electro quotes can be found in “Concrete Playground”, “Push” or “Gallium Element”, and of course there is lots of industrial techno action going on: Some more on the stomping techno side of things (“The Hunter”, “Revelation”), some filled to the brim with industrial wails and screeches (“Blade on Skin”). What sets this album apart is the appearance of a lot of surprisingly nuanced and layered moments, such as when a melodic ambience comes hovering above the dance floor destruction in “The Sky Turns Red”.
Lots of variation in the drum programming, exceptional sound design and the embrace of the emotional: “Concrete Playground” works in a highly fascinating dissonance, and is set to leave a big mark!

In 2014 the Swiss musician and producer Samuel Savenberg released his first EP under the moniker S S S S. His music can be called techno only as a last resort. It has appeared on Haunter Records, aufnahme+wiedergabe, and LUX Records consistently defying clear-cut classification. Tracks propelled forward by industrial and broken beats find themselves alongside (dis)quiet pieces based on melodies.
