The 13 track VA compilation welcomes a host of new artists to the label whilst continuing to showcase returning favourites such as Meshes, Magnum Opus, and MVQX. The album titled ‘The Semiconscious System’, arrives with several dancefloor ready anthems whilst allowing a meltdown through intervals of raw industrial sludge.

After having been featured on the V.A. "Still Life" released by VEYL (https://soundcloud.com/veylrecords) on last July, the Dutch multimedia artist Thomas van Linge / Randstad (https://soundcloud.com/thomasbakk) releases his sophomore EP "These Serpents" with the same label, featuring six well-crafted songs mixing EBM with techno and electro, which in songs such as Pergamon and Kreuzberg evoke the atmosphere of Berlin. Today we premiere Pergamon, a good example of EBM mixed with techno.

The dark & brooding sound of Namesis debuts on Soma with the Rave Is Dead EP. Taking inspiration from various electronic disciplines such a new beat, EBM and even industrial, Namesis have collected a solid release consisting of superbly crafted dark, synth driven music. 

The EP’s opening track Blade Runner, a collaboration with Corvad, has dark and futuristic overtones as jarring synths rip at the heart of the track with serious intensity. Lies Around leans on more industrial vibes with ominous sweeping pads screeching across a base of distorted synths and crashing percussion. Title Track Rave Is Dead is a sinister and dread inducing trip as a direct beat drives a hard message. Call Me Out feat the vocal stylings of Sunko is a more paced affair that still caries the twisted sounds of Namesis, with a broken beat and apocalyptic feel present from the opening. Whispers in the Dark closes out this unique release for Soma as polyrhythmic synths and epic vocals create a higher atmosphere whilst still retaining the foreboding sound of Namesis.
