deemster makes his debut release and beginning of a new project on Gravitas Recordings March 3rd.  Previously known as RUN DMT, this new project is lovingly saturated with trip hop, jungle, turntablism, breaks, and other styles of music that inspired him early on in his career.  These brand new tracks have a nostalgic and vintage feel to them, while bringing back the past and pushing the sounds of the future in a whole new way.  Recording guitars, drum sounds, foley, and a vintage drum machine to capture the warmth of the late 90s/early 2000’s era of electronic production.

“This record is a love letter to the place where I live and to the kind of music that got me interested in producing in the first place. This project is also a reflection of my love for cinema, as I approach each record like a director approaches a film, where style and atmosphere dictate the creative direction rather than a specific genre. This record is a collection of vibes that have lived in my head rent-free since I was a teenager; trip hop, jungle, breaks, etc were the soundtrack to most of my life and I am thrilled to lay them out on a single project. I spent the first week of January alone in a small cabin in the countryside, and this was the first idea that materialized. I think the song reflects the mood of being isolated in the midst of the dark Danish winter quite well.
Scary at times but also a bit like a cocoon for creativity. It's almost as if time stands still.
The wonderful Stine Grøn later came by my studio and recorded her beautiful wordless vocals.
Later, while touring with Kalaha, we recorded Anders Stig Møller's epic freetless bass in the lobby of Danhostel Ebeltoft and last Selma Trier added her ethereal harp playing.
The song is included on my upcoming album “Going Inside” - an album created especially for inner journeys and psychedelic therapy.
It is the third and final album in my piano trilogy – starting with “After The Flood” & “Isola” and will be out September 29th.
