The Flying Dutchman started his career back in 2006. From there on in 2007 he expanded his genres moving to Soulful/Deep House. Having residencies at Stones Night Cub and Coobah Lounge, he moved from Soulful/Deep House to the Electro side of things. Playing tracks from John Dahlback, Nicky Romero, Bingo Players, Deadmau5, Albin Meyers to name a few. 

The Flying Dutchman took a break from 2008 to 2010. With the comeback it was a fresh start for The Flying Dutchman and broke the scene with tracks from the likes of Underground/Minimal/Techno legends Nicole Moudaber, Ross Yallop, Justin Martin, Ardalan etc. Finding his way into the deeper sounds, the "Dutchman" fell in love with UK sounds. Genres to follow included Garage/Jackin/Tech/Bass etc. From that moment it was Bass al the way. Playing tracks from UK masters, Chris Lorenzo, Hannah Wants, Ill Phill.

Five years later The Flying Dutchman is all about BASS. Playing full on Bass House/Future Bass/Garage/Future House/Deep/Deep Tech, he finally found his way and style of music. Artists like Billy Kenny, Taiki Nulight, AC Slater, Cause and Affect, My Nu Leng, Sleepy Tom, Frederique, Joey Rumble to name a few were the inspiration for this new sound and love of music.

Founding member of #borntoskit team and monthly event host for "Oolong Rooftop", hosted at Oolong Lounge, Bloemfontein, South Africa. The #borntoskit team is proud to promote the underground scene, hosting national Dj's on a monthly basis.
Started production in early 2015, The Flying Dutchman is busy creating his own unique style of Deep/Bass just as he likes it.

The Flying Dutchman has shared stages with the likes, but not limited to, DJ Fresh SA, Euphonik, Kent, Mark Stent, DJ Dizzy, Dino Bravo, Lady Lea, Vimo, Chunda Munki, Nick Supply, Gareth Devore, Ru-B, Rays da Funk, Royal Groove, Zelly J, The Resident, Schalk Louw, Paps etc.
