Sup Yo! have burst onto the scene with this beautiful release from Flite, destined to put a smile on your face and your feet on the dancefloor. Featuring a remix from Rameses B, with previous releases on both Monstercat, Liquicity Records and Seeking Blue, Sup Yo!’s debut release ‘Featherfall’ is set to sooth your soul.

Flite’s a-side, ‘Featherfall’, starts with beautiful euphoric organs and bright arps to lighten the laid back tone. His melancholic voice takes the lead to the drop, where the drum beat kicks in, mastered perfectly to accompany and compliment the building pads and areal sounds that form the core of the song.

On the flip, Rameses B’s remix never strays from the peaceful tonality but offers a bouncy, trance-laden feel. As the LFO fluctuates and builds over the vocals, the gentle yet groove inducing bass kicks in as bass, drum and LFO amalgamate to create another wonderfully crafted and uplifting tune that is sure to warm up this winter.

This is "Summer Dust" a relaxing melodic journey. The first ideas I had for this track were at a slower tempo, but I decided to create a more upbeat drum and bass track still holding on to the soft mellow ideas I had at the beginning.

A New Way

In September, FMLYBND took the stage for the first time in over two years, treating two sold-out crowds to a slew of new music. In the two years the band has been dormant, a lot of change has happened. The band built their own recording studios out of shipping containers in their new home of Costa Mesa, California in addition to launching their own record label through which they will be releasing their upcoming music.

Trading in heavy synth leads for the dreamy jangle of an acoustic guitar, "Wasting My Time" highlights what FMLYBND's Mac Montgomery has always been known to deliver: anthemic vocal hooks containing an extraordinary ability of swooning the listener into a euphoric state of nostalgia. In the years they’ve been away from their desk, the group has rediscovered its musical identity and come back into the fray with a deeper sense of musical-self. Emerging through the veil of LFOs and oscillators, FMLYBND’s undeniably fun hooks adorn a sound that is more fun, more natural, but just as fun as they’ve ever been.
