Whether it’s dubstep, glitch hop or drum & bass, DJ and producer Vandermou has spent years learning his craft, after becoming enamoured by the world of dance music through his uncle Kaarel. After deciding that he too wanted to follow the same path, he acquired a wide range of knowledge through pouring over countless sets, no matter what that music’s foundations were. After being immersed in the Andalusian breakbeat scene through the Diversity group, his horizons expanded and this experience led him to his current journey through the land of production. He focused his efforts heavily in drum & bass and in the beginning of 2014, it lead him to founding Jack the Ripper events, where he offered a variety of different drum & bass genres, which also helped him shape his own musical influences. Moving from his collaborative project Aimlessly Team, through to his solo work, he’s already made a name for himself throughout the Sevillian scene, with his speed driven and varied sets. Whether it’s neurofunk or liquid, he’s reigned supreme and already decimating crowds on worldwide stages, including that of Outlook Festival in 2016 and 2017, his studio presence is just as formidable, having been added to the roster of record label Nagual Recordings. 

And joining him for this forthcoming single is Modern Hate, who takes on remix duties for the formidable record ‘Pressure’. As a standalone track, ‘Pressure’ is a look into Vandermou and the music he represents. It’s hard-hitting, with a slickness which will appeal to many DJs as well as many club goers across the globe. With its crunching drums and tearaway bassline, Vandermou doesn’t disappoint. On the reverse you’re presented with Modern Hate’s take, drawing from the same sonics as Vandermou and contorting it into a different face. Its dancefloor edge shows how Modern Hate lends himself to the live circuit, which is something which can also be said about the label he’s about to release on. Forbidden Musical Rites returns for another release, with their back catalogue becoming as weighty as ever. They’re pushing forward like never before and with releases like these coming through, they’re an exciting part of drum & bass.

Jarko is a DJ and drum & bass producer from Spain, whose move to Bristol has seen him draw influences from his local scene to deliver a host of records, with him now performing alongside genre-greats like Merikan, Dazee, Trivision, Dubtime and Ill Truth. Whether it’s on the stage of Timbuk2, Red Lion, Basement 45, Prisma in Sevilla or Jack of Diamonds in Bristol, his high-energy, cut throat sets have stood out amongst his counterparts, proving that he is able to hold his own against some of the rowdiest sets in drum & bass. Alongside being a resident of Drum & Birds, an event which has become more and more pivotal over recent years within the confines of Basement 45, his grassroots audience has certainly grown.  
 
And his forthcoming record on Forbidden Musical Rites is another expansion of what he’s about as an artist. ‘FrankinMurray’ is a no-holds-barred expression into Jarko as an artist, pushing harder and harder as his carefully orchestrated sounds filter through the mixdown and he comes at you fast and hard from the getgo. Jarko begins his next single stepping through meticulously constructed breakdowns and a drop which plummets you into a technical spider web of zipping beats and punching drums, the type which help give the composition a much heavier feel. As it begins to stream through its layers, you’re made instantly aware of just how industrial each segment is, as one rolls into the next. Jarko isn’t afraid to go in full throttle which is why he’s such an imperative part of Forbidden Musical Rites. Each thumping hook helps to keep the track’s driving rhythm; it’s a track which also nods its head to the dancefloor and provides a set ripper which takes pride of place in many musical journeys within the club sphere.  
 
If this is your first introduction to Jarko, you’re about to be immersed in a spectrum of sound which many ravers are beginning to find themselves within. This is one reason why it’s important to not forget the name, because it’s sure to be prevalent throughout line ups over the coming months.

Morgue is a UK born music producer, although has spent many years living outside of it. Having spent over ten years in Spain, two months in Peru and now Finland, his perspective on what music should be is relatively boundless and not tied to any particular scene. Due to this he has always been considered a multi-genre electronic music producer - finding it virtually impossible to stick to just one tempo or vibe. Although this track (Insecurity) is plainly drum n bass, making something so specific is unusual for him. 
His main claim to fame to date is having produced the soundtrack to the video game the Carmageddon: Reincarnation and Carmageddon: Max Damage (PS4, Xbox One and PC) consisting of 12 tracks spanning various genres (Dubstep, Drum n bass, Drumstep, Big beat etc) with titles such as "Drop The Bomb" "Colossus" "Halls Of Morgue" and "Big And Clever". All of which can be found on YouTube, including some remixes of The Prodigy tracks such as "Spitfire" and "Narayan". In addition to this he has performed DJ sets in most venues in Bristol, as well as Kendal Calling Festival in UK in 2013. 
He currently is shifting away from electronic music production, rekindling his love for metal, although such energy can be found throughout his productions. These days he is training his voice to sing to a professional standard with hopes to form a rock/metal band in the near future, based in Finland.

Sevillian production team Adese & M'Go came together in recent years to merge their collective talents, the types of which have raised them to prominence within the Spanish drum & bass scene. Describing their music as being for lovers of ‘melodic sounds, clean basses and broken batteries’, it’s easy to see how they’ve become renowned for their unique ideas and range of styles. Already a veteran artist in his own right, Adese began producing during the golden age of Sevillian breakbeat back in the early 2000’s – the type which brought their sounds onto the map during its explosion. The outfit’s other half, M’Go began his career within the underground free party world; his quick-fire mixing skills and refined musical selection moved him under the radar of many heavyweight names. The combined influences of Adese & M’Go brought the two together; whether it was Sub Focus, High Contrast, Feint or Sebas, their shared love for drum & bass has seen them collaborate on their biggest project to date.

Through Forbidden Musical Rites, they’ll be dropping their brand new double-sided single ‘Yin’ and ‘Yang’. The UK based label, whose roots spread throughout the darkest corners of Bristol’s realms and was founded in 2016, has grown from strength to strength since, now stretching throughout the live circuit as well as the collections of music lovers. They pride themselves on being at the forefront of breaking new talent; this can clearly be seen through Adese & M’Go joining their decorated roster. 

Both ‘Yin’ and ‘Yang’ prove the refined skills which each producer has at their disposal – showing how pivotal they are when they combine their powers. First up, ‘Yin’ flows with slick melodies, cascading drum sequences and a composition which alludes to the artists’ impressive song writing abilities. On the flipside, ‘Yang’ still progresses with thumping pads and elevated sonics, but each break takes you down a deeper hole. They’re softly spoken tracks, although they don’t lack the bite which is important within a club space. And that’s aqnother reason why they make an awe-inspiring addition to the back catalogue of Forbidden Musical Rites, with a platform that has pushed them to the right tastemakers.

As an industrious promoter at Bass Company, Juan Garcia has showcased acts from some of the most highly influential names in the current DnB game, including InsideInfo, Calyx&Teebee, Black Barrel,Cause4concern, Sub Zero, Audio, Signal, Billain, Forbidden Society, Volatile Cycle, to name but a few. 

Lately Wake & Bake has been busy mashing us some electronic beauties; insatiable drum compositions wobbled up with some wholesome bass to get the dancefloor going. Wake & Bake keeps us curious by knocking sounds in and out that will give us a reason to stay afloat even on our worst day. This is what is to be expected of ‘Wretched Day’- one of the two new releases on FMR on 12th September 2019 alongside ‘Back 2 Black’

Back to Black gives us much more of an idea of the level of detail Wake & Bake puts into creating a track, by constructing layers of sound with a technically complex agenda, presenting an industrial urgency reassured by steadfast synth melodies. Back to Black holds on to its core sounds and refracts into multiple wavelengths as it breaks into a deeper and harder style than even some neurofunk bangers out there.
