The mix pretty much reflects on my last months with ups and downs and everything in between. I always found it hard to focus on one genre when recording a mix, especially when I recognize what I feel inside of myself right now. Enjoy the journey ❤  Including longtime favs as well as recent picks. Shoutout to the amazing people making this music!
 
Josh Bobzin (he/him) has been carving out dancefloors since a decade now, while switching permanently between DJ, promoter and dancer. He draws his selections from a wide range, always putting in warm layers and adding cheeky stuff. You will rarely hear a set sticking to one genre or being played in carpet-style. What started with illegal raves in off locations, countless open airs or small club events in his homebase Hamburg has finally lead to Flugmodus. With his friends from Lüneburg the crew quickly entered Hamburg and set the bar high for full-on rave experiences. In 2020 he co-founded Fluid Festival, which celebrated its premiere in June 2022. Under his alias Recorded Future he explores the ambient and deep side of things. Club sets are rather an atmospheric journey between deep techno, tribal and trance. Together with Smuseb he started rundum.club, which curates House and Techno artists in daytime and nighttime formats with the goal of achieving a safer/braver space for marginalized communities. His most recent project is Transmute, where Carl aka rh-rn and Josh create an intimate space to enjoy ambient & experimental music.

The very last BATB at the Styx was one to remember, with possibly the most intense psychedelic vibes of the year.

This closing set went from breaks to ethnic pop to the Buzzcocks to some afro disco jams to some Turkish psych to a 70s West coast latin rock anthem to Rude Movements to...that devil's hand landing on the last record (the Balek Band) 30 seconds before its ending...Lots of booing ensued followed by the biggest cheer ever...Chant down Babylon!
