The number 29 had special meaning to Jimmy Schepers: it was his birth day and partly because of it, his lucky number. 
Jimmy was brutally robbed of his life on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at a music festival while trying to calm an argument. 
 
We never knew Jimmy, but, like so many, were totally devastated by the impact of this senseless act of violence. 
Family was everything to him; his loved ones can still barely comprehend what took place. 
He was known as a big, positive and happy teddy bear and was often the center of a large club of friends that included one of our children. 
 
The dance music community is there for all of us to enjoy music, park everyday life for a while and make memories with new and old friends. 
 
Several times in our immediate community we were confronted with the feelings of sadness and helplessness that this attack on Jimmy's life and happiness has caused. We contacted the family and asked permission to capture Jimmy's life and the love of his loved ones in a song. 
 
Soulvation - 29 is a tribute to Jimmy Schepers, and the yields of this release go entirely to the family. 
Life should be celebrated, that is a fact, but dwelling on this immeasurable sadness is unfortunately necessary.
