Foam’s first podcast is here, kicking off with Daniele Casalini knowed as Dani Home, a vinyl-only DJ from Florence with a true passion for rare and limited edition records. 
Active since 2006, Dani has shared the stage with top European artists and played in iconic venues like Tenax, Tabasco, Macarena club in Barcelona and Club der Visionaire in Berlin.

He’s also an active member of Basse Frequenze Soundystem with which he has shared the decks with a lot of great artist in different club around Europe. 

Expect an eclectic journey through electronic sounds, crafted with the deep knowledge and dedication.

SPOKEN103 - Ambu Bambu

Groningen based DJ, producer and friend of the collective Ambu Bambu's music tells emotional stories of wanting to belong, yet fated to a destiny of floating in between. Urgent and rhythmic, with the occasional moment of lightness and release, their selections and productions span realms from breakbeat and bass, to dubbed-out fuzziness and oddball house and techno tracks just weird enough to make you doubt their genres.

Their welcome appearance in the Dutch underground scene is illustrated by key performances at DGTL x Boiler Room, RAUM, and Down The Rabbit Hole. Explorations into scenes abroad have been made, with appearances in Brussels, Berlin, London, and their fully self-booked The Motherland Tour through China. At the same time, they’re tethering through residencies at @relateradio and @sisu_crew.

Hi there! I am Magister and I am a techno DJ based in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the past couple of months, I've been polishing my skills as a selector and as a DJ, drawing inspiration from legendary figures in the scene like DVS1, Oscar Mulero, Luke Slater, and many more. With this musical selection, I am presenting you my style of mixing and my sound. If you are a promoter or a club owner and my sound resonates with the theme of your club or event, I'll be more than happy to work with your team and I'll do my best to take the crowd on a musical journey through space and time, delivering a unique and emotional experience to all listeners. SPOKEN104 - Giri

Up next in the series we have Giri, the Neapolitan DJ and producer who discovered electronic music composition at a very young age through a video game: Music 2000. From that moment on, he simultaneously pursued his passion for synthesizers, sound design, DJing, and vinyl collecting.

The artist has a natural inclination towards the darker and more industrial frontiers, such as the second wave of Detroit and ’90s/2000s UK techno. These influences shaped his distinctive deep sound, built on complex, intricate structures and driven by a powerful groove and rhythmic intensity.

In 2019, the first EPs under the name Giri were released by Evod, Awry, and Prophet, and in 2020, he founded his own label, Antiterra Records. A year later, in July 2021, he released his first concept album, Antichthon, a 19-track project, on the label that had influenced him the most over the years: Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, as part of The Escape Velocity project.

Giri caught our ears with his ominous and sci-fi-inspired releases on labels such as No Signal, Immaterial.Archives, Molecular, and many more. His hypnotic percussion and eerie synths give you the urge to lock in and drift away.

For this mix, he went for ballsy rhythms with an intimate edge. From meticulously crafted layering that transports you far away, to broken patterns that feel like industrial machinery engineered to make you move.

Unmistakable are the sonic experiments of Spanish alchemist ORBE; with this fresh release on Token. ORBE’s iconically viscous textures and impactful percussion weasel their way into ‘Ascender’ for a deeper release on Kr!z’s label. Thick, brooding atmospheres drive these tracks into stories of pursuit and escape throughout its four tracks.  

A slick, pulsating low end in ‘Flashback’ stands out as a first impression for an imposing EP. Electric leads zip by for maximum psychosis; he’s known for his uncompromising dissonance and drive. A staple of the Spanish scene, ORBE bites down hard on deep and hypnotic techno to resonate through concrete warehouses. This jagged edge to club music continues through ‘W9Y’ - a more drum-forward cut with noisy transitions and breathable synthwork. Sharper stabs occupy this space as opposed to the track’s predecessor and tension is maintained with a lingering pad in the background. A meditative conclusion for the A side, ORBE quickly shifts his attention in the titletrack ‘Ascender’. Emphasizing tone and tune on the kick, the lead comes with confrontation. Rolling through shifting hats, the producer brings boiling tension through minimal arrangement and the weight of his sound design - a skillset only the most seasoned artists can claim. To close things out, ‘Break Nation’ does just that - cutting off the traditional four/four rhythm and instead presenting itself as a bass stepper. With ORBE’s classic unison packed synths, this dweller presents a whole other perspective on ‘Ascender’. A hybrid of influences and yet still destined for the techno dancefloor, this breath of fresh air serves as deep dive into the subconscious for an eyes-closed experience.

In an ever-evolving techno landscape, Voorman stands as a distinctive figure, pushing boundaries and reshaping perceptions.

With his dedication to exploring the depths of sound, his music seeks the beauty of imperfection and embraces the untamed edges.

Voorman made his mark with the release of his debut EP, Surface Scatter, on Float Records, showcasing his ability to blend intricate soundscapes with raw, unpolished energy.

In search for an outlet with full creative freedom Voorman has established Subtract Imprint, a sound label which serves as a platform to catalogue his exploration of sound that embody his identity both artistically and personally.

With over a decade of experience, Voorman continues to pave his own path, striving to leave his mark on the underground scene as it stands today.
