前回のAnniversaryも大盛況で幕を閉じたケミモンことRe:CHEMICAL MONSTERSがSpring Festival 2023を開催決定。

今回のSpring Festival 2023にはGarage/Grimeを軸に圧倒的なDJスキルでプレイし、SVBKVLT、Polaarからのリリースでも世界的に注目を集めるPrettybwoy、Ghetto Tech/Footworkを軸に唯一無二のスタイルで常にフロアを踊らせ続けるPharakami Sanders & OyubiによるB2BユニットTOKYO GHETTO WARRIORS、Baile FunkにフォーカスしながらもHardcore/Tranceなどを織り交ぜ、オーディエンスを新境地へ引き連れて行くバイレファンキかけ子、Footworkを軸にExperimental ClubやGorgeなどを独自の解釈で調合し、TOKIO SHAMANや様々なパーティーでも活躍するmoemiki、そしてHKCRのマンスリーレジデントを務め、NAAFI、USI KUVO、TREKKIE TRAXなど国内外のレーベルから自身の楽曲を多数リリースするケミモン主宰のWRACKの5組が出演。

11年以上の歴史があるケミモン史上最も"速い"回を是非現場で体感し、別次元への扉を開いてほしい。

A long time collaborator & friend Sonido Berzerk label head of Mexican Juke platform @tentoesturbo is a globally recognised producer and DJ extraordinaire having represented his sound on @boilerroomtv @djmagofficial @rinse.fm @bbc1xtra and a load of electronic music platforms.

Palo Monte is a 5 track EP which was inspired by his time growing up in the coast of Veracruz which was a settlement of African slaves that gained independence & freedom through revolt.

Each track shares a unique story and journey navigating through a history of Mexico’s indigenous cultural importance and its Afro diaspora influence.

A duo of club edits - inspired by two of the most exciting pop acts on the planet - Rosalía and Tierra Whack. Both reworks go hand-in-hand and share similarities, produced from the same skeleton. The 'Aute Cuture' bootleg is a peak-of-the-night blitz with high-pitched vocal cuts and blaring trumpets. 'Cable Guy' is a smooth burner - mumbling vox and those melancholy keys; a track I have been opening most of my sets with over the last few months. Please enjoy these two offerings and make sure to share with me if you are enjoying playing them out <3 And more than anything I implore you to seek out releases by both of these impossibly talented artists themselves. 

For the artwork I wanted to try a softer touch than normal - the concept was to resemble a Smash Hits poster stuck up in a young teenager's bedroom. Nostalgic and dreamy. My usual primary colours are muted and it's the first in a long time I've resorted to trying some illustration work.
