Among masks, ventilators, iron lungs and mass graves, oxygen is conspicuous by its absence.
As a premise, social discipline, endless oppression to the point of not breathing.
An asphyxiating virus, asphyxiating economy, asphyxiating authoritarianism, insane and suicidal reactions and total confusion.
In between, an innocent resistance arises, the oppressed rise our heads to grab an air mouthful and express ourselves in the shape of rebellion, in the shape of music.
Patince running out and the need for movement after such a long quiet time emerges unstoppable with a dangerous and somber soundtrack. The restrained scream and the shy dancing gives space to the ancestral expression of rhythm and repetition.
We found consonance among different cultures, artists from all around the globe make up this compilation, in an attempt to create that vital oxygenation that makes us feel alive and confront whoever wants to impose and crush us.

After a tape release on the prolific Los Angeles-based label Chondritic Sound, the Israeli multidisciplinary duo Kashaiof (@kashaiof), whose members, Eyal Bitton & Itzik Avizohar, also feature in the cultural context of "Studio Straus", are about to make their second tape release with Under My Feet. (@undermyfeetldn), a project active on several artistic fields. Under My Feet. has organized multidisciplinary parties with some of the most interesting projects of the recent years, and recently it has also become a label, which, until now, has released two tape releases. These were respectively made by Ireen Amnes & Kamikaze Space Programme (@ireenamnes, @kamikaze-space-programme) and by Incendie (@incendie0). Incendie is the music project of the manager of the Area Z (@area-zed) label.

Their third tape release, which will be released on February 25th, contains six snapshots of the Jerusalem duo's artistic-musical universe, influenced by experimental music practices such as musique concrete, filtered through the musicians' geographical and musical lenses. "MA", the title of the release, a word that in Hebrew means "What" and that in Japanese means "negative space, gap or pause", both highlights the interest, on the part of Under My Feet., in embracing a wide range of styles, without fossilizing on standardized formulas, and in promoting projects that develop not only on the musical level, but also on the artistic one, and this is a trademark of the project.

In Kashaiof's music we find different but linked elements: the characteristic features of their songs are the sound research and the attention to details, as well as the refusal of easy classification, but what gives added value to their proposal is the ritualistic and spiritual elements emerging, for example, in a song like ZVUV (זבוב), which we premiere today; a long mantra in which we find different elements evoking the performative dimension. Effected voices, percussion, noisy drones and much more give to the listener the improvisational character of their music, that could be experienced as a multisensory experience in which the listener lives an experience outside of everyday reality.

The Barcelona based tape label Zona Watusa is known for its broad palette of experimental sounds. With the release of Domus, a new deep dark hue is added to the catalog.  Zona Watusa is proud to finally announce the debut solo album “Domus” by Goz.

Goz is none other than the tirelessly working bass-explosion that is Gonçalo Almeida (Ikizukuri, Hydra Ensemble, Lama Trio). Goncalo Almeida was born in 1978 Lisbon, Portugal. He lives in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where he plays in a variety of projects that range from modern jazz, free jazz, jazzcore and free improvisation music.

As Goz, Almeida explores the field of doom and drone with his usual fierceness, but with a personal delicate touch. These storytelling riffs go beyond anything he has ever done before. Rotterdam’s Torture Corpse joins him on a 3-part closing track to finish this cosmic ride.

Goz’s own precious metal art is used for the cover design. Artwork is designed by Studio Denk. Final sleeves are handmade and manually assembled by Zona Watusa. Domus will be available on a limited edition cassette and digital. The pre-order will start on 18-02-2022 and the full release will be out on 01-03-2022.
