Since his first Submorphics release on The North Quarter, the Detroit native has tenaciously developed his unique brand of lo-fi, deep drum & bass. With his new six-track EP ‘Verona Highway’, the Den Haag-based producer has created what he calls “a late night Detroit to Chicago road trip aesthetic”. Rooted in the underground, this project is an assemblage of techno, footwork and soulful house influences fused with his own signature earworm melodies, deep minor chords and the modern North Quarter drum & bass sound. The result is an EP that feels emotive and nostalgic while maintaining a modern atmosphere. 

‘Verona Highway’ marks the return of Submorphics to The North Quarter, just over a year after his critically acclaimed Newport Magnetic EP. Reminiscent of night time drives and peaceful after hours, the EP is a collection of warm, dreamy and sentimental music and is the ultimate soundtrack for serene summer nights.

Force-wielding mic-man Visionobi is back with a bang in 2023, dropping the 3rd standalone single from his forthcoming self-titled debut album. Linking up with Hospital songstress SOLAH and Dispatch disciple Philth, the trio create a sultry, rolling piece to kick off the new year in serious style. 

Visionobi’s laid-back delivery atop Philth’s sumptuous, rolling drums is lifted sky-high by SOLAH’s luscious harmonies. The unified chorus delivery bathes the whole tune with a warmth that needs to be heard to be believed. To kick off our celebration of 5 Years Differential, we revisit Leniz’ impeccable debut album Perceptions on Reality. With remixes from both longstanding Differential members and legends in the scene, Different Perspectives on Reality is a celebration of the sounds we love and music we all groove to. 

Kicking off the festivities with a remix by none other than soulful drum and bass icon Seba. Immediately from the intro you can hear Seba’s musicality, layering some hefty drums over the dreamy and mellow atmosphere from the original track by Leniz & Brainwork. As the drop rolls on, a smooth progression builds on the ethereal mood, continuing on towards a major switch in the rhythm and elevating you to a blissful state typical of a Seba track. From there on the track guides you along with a new surprise every so often, ending on a high note and setting you up perfectly for the rest of the album. 


Even though the first remix is already a statement piece, the full project is filled to the brim with quality and identity. The Seba remix drops February 3rd, and steadily more will follow until eventually all Perspectives on Reality will be revealed.
