It’s a sense of variety reflecting the producer’s background as ‘a citizen of the world’ who has grown up in countries including Israel, Armenia and the US – where he lives today.

They say variety is the spice of life, and Innit is an EP proving exactly that. Whether it’s the frantic energy of “Whale Chewn” – a track inspired by time spent watching killer whale documentaries – or the more the liquid tones of “Only You” (Feat. In a music landscape torn between the Zoomer-led drum and bass revival and the guardians of its underground roots, Note has somehow managed to find his own lane. Since his debut in 2021, Note has left an indelible mark on the scene, recognized for his ever-evolving, soulful sound that effortlessly blends avant-garde jazz, hip-hop, and R&B into meticulously crafted drum and bass/jungle compositions.

In the midst of a frenetic drum and bass scene, Note sought refuge in authenticity, returning to The North Quarter to create his boldest and most diverse work to date. Drawing inspiration from post-impressionist art, 'Impressions Of A Still Life' unfolds like a series of vivid paintings, capturing the essence of stillness through lush instrumentation, deep bass, and chopped breaks.

With Quarter To Quarter, Amsterdam-based record label The North Quarter delivers its first compilation album: a manifesto and its most ambitious project to date.

The 14 track project features prominent vocalists IAMDDB and Azekel, Bass Music legends Total Science and Break and all the core artists that have made Lenzman’s boutique label the breath of fresh air it is today.

The North Quarter is a collective of artists from around the globe, brought together through a shared love for the authentic. The imprint has become a household name in just a short space of time through ambitious and highly detailed artist projects. With Quarter to Quarter, a compilation of cutting edge Drum & Bass music, the label further solidifies its reputation and unique vision.

Never doing things the fast and easy way, the album was put together and nurtured by A&R and founder Lenzman over the course of 18 months.

Lenzman explains: “Way back when I first got into music, I wanted to share that magic with others. Today that same urge still endures within me.
