A double album made up of remixes of the vinyl released in 2019 "El Camino de Leda" that featured the participation of Chancha Via Circuito, La Charo, Uji, Shaman Herrera, Tremor, Barda, El Remolón, Soema Montenegro, Dat García, King Coya , Pol Nada and more representatives, both of the organic electronic sound of Buenos Aires and singers of contemporary Argentine folk and urban music.

This time, artists from different latitudes remix the tracks of the original ones to create new sounds in song format, to make them suitable for the dance floor in slow mode and also to listening them on any occasion. It has the participation of Klik & Frik, Rodrigo Gallardo, Guazú, Derrok, Tribilin Sound, Carla Valenti, Qechuaboi, Lucas Lead, Mente Orgánica, Nixtamal just to mention some of the collaborations.

Rural Beats is the new EP that consists of 4 tracks by The Peronists that sound like a ﬁne mix of Argentine folkore, lo-ﬁ hip hop, downtempo, rural environments, electronic and organic electronic music.
Cumbia Andina (Rural Beats focus track) is a collaboration between Argentine producers The Peronists (Fede Randall) and Chancha Via Circuito (Pedro Canale).
Both producers have been part of the Argentine collective and label ZZK Records at the beginning of the millennium (since 2006) at an early age and both have shared their tracks in various compilations referring to the new sound of Argentine folktronics: ZZK Sound Vol. 1 and ZZK Sound Vol. 2 (ZZK Records, Argentina) and The Future Sound of Buenos Aires (Waxploitation, USA) and Nueva Cumbia Argentina - The Buenos Aires Implosion! (Soot Records, USA).

About The Peronists
From the age of 13 he began to ask his family to help him become a musician, since he had an obsession with sound and radio, he does not know very well where that concern came from, but it was always there and is still latent. His goals are to leave a mark of innovation in new urban genres, in stagnant and forgotten folk genres and make people dance as a producer and DJ, and make the listener have a good time.
Among his outstanding experiences are his participation in the Red Bull Music Academy in New York in 2013 where he took masterclasses among others, with Brian Eno. He released his music on labels such as ZZK Records, Desmo Records and Folcore Records. He currently works in sound design, composing and producing beats for the Red Bull Batalla de Gallos and for his personal music projects.

Acerca de The Peronists
Desde los 13 años que comenzó a pedirle a su familia que le ayuden a ser músico, ya que tenía obsesión con el sonido y la radio, no sabe muy bien de dónde vino esa inquietud, pero siempre estuvo ahí y aún está latente. Sus  objetivos son dejar una huella de innovación en géneros urbanos nuevos, en géneros folklóricos estancados y olvidados y hacer bailar a las personas como productor y DJ, y hacer pasar un buen rato al oyente.
Entre sus experiencias destacadas ﬁguran su participación en la Red Bull Music Academy de New York en 2013 donde tomó masterclasses entre otros, con Brian Eno. Publicó su música en sellos como ZZK Records, Desmo Records y Folcore Records. Folz B. is a music composer and artist from Argentina. His first EP for Folcore Records –which will be release soon– is entitled “Kiss”, just like his first single.

His songs transport the listener in an imaginary spaceship to very unusual places, around labyrinths that never end, and through mirrors that can either embellish or deform.

His music is highly danceable. The beat is the tour guide that takes the audience through multiple styles –from Latin pop to Brazilian samba, reggaeton, experimental music, hip hop, Afro-Cuban salsa, rock and even folk music from the Middle East.

The artist’s goal is to express his point of view about how the music that would make him dance should sound like. It would be a music that never bores, which doesn’t stop its stream of fresh ideas nor abuses repetition. A music that surprises –not a pre-made formula–, that is fun, original and makes the listener feel an unstoppable urge to dance. All of that combined with several levels of depth in the composition and arrangements.

Folz B. is mainly a keyboard player. He also sings and plays bass and various percussion instruments like Djembe, Congas and Udu. For the four songs of this EP “Kiss”, the artist worked with a wide variety of pianos, organs, synthesizers, samplers and drum machines. There is a meticulous and complex framework of arrangements, yet the final product sounds very nice and fresh to the ear.

Folz B. es un compositor y artista solista argentino. Su primer EP para Folcore Records, que será lanzado en breve, se llamará "Kiss" ("Beso"), al igual que su primer single.

Las canciones de Folz B. están planteadas como si quien las escuchara se subiera a una nave espacial que lo transportara por lugares inusitados, por laberintos que nunca terminan de definirse, a través de espejos que pueden embellecer tanto como deformar.

Su música es muy bailable, donde el beat es el hilo conductor dentro de esta cápsula imaginaria. Es el beat el que nos abre senderos que conducen hacia una múltiple diversidad estilística. Desde pop latino hasta samba brasilero, pasando por reguetón, música experimental, hip hop, salsa afro-cubana, rock y hasta música folk de Medio Oriente.

El objetivo buscado por el artista es expresar su punto de vista sobre cómo debería ser una música que lo haga bailar a él. Una música que jamás aburra, que nunca detenga su torrente de ideas frescas, que no abuse de la repetición, que sorprenda, que no sea una fórmula preconcebida, que divierta, que sea original y que provoque un irrefrenable deseo de bailar. Todo ello combinado con varios niveles de profundidad en sus arreglos y composición.

Folz B. es principalmente tecladista. También canta y toca el bajo y varios instrumentos de percusión, como el Djembé, las Congas y el Udú. Para las cuatro canciones de este EP “Kiss”, Folz B. trabajó con una amplia gama de pianos, órganos, sintetizadores, samplers y baterías electrónicas. Se aprecia un meticuloso y complejo entramado de arreglos, logrado de tal forma que suena agradable y fresco al oído.

The concept of this album is part of the search for Latin American dance sounds close to the equator, a specific latitude in the world which connects Latin America with Africa and Asia.

With “Equador”, Juan Esteban Herrera a.k.a Ruido Selecto, exposes his vision of Latin electronic music as a Colombian producer. This studio work has brought new challenges that have enriched the sound of the project because the album combines various musical interpretations such as; the electric guitar played by Ruido Selecto himself, voices, choirs, trumpets and percussion. All this, without moving away from the synthesizers and the characteristic bass music sound of Ruido Selecto.

In "Equador" the African influence always present in Latin American rhythms is explored. Due to this, the music of the Caribbean, the tropical forest and the Andes are protagonists in the musical production.

Ruido Selecto is a Colombian producer of electronic music that adopts Caribbean rhythms as the raw material of its sound. In essence, Afro music is a clear reference and for this reason his sound style encourages dance and dancing as reflected in his productions and live performances. The project is created and directed by Juan Esteban Herrera, guitarist, sound explorer and music producer from the city of Medellin - Colombia.

El concepto de este álbum se enmarca en la búsqueda de las sonoridades bailables latinoamericanas cercanas a la línea del ecuador, una latitud específica en el mundo la cual conecta América Latina con África y Asía.

Con “Equador”, Juan Esteban Herrera a.k.a Ruido Selecto, expone su visión de la música electrónica latina como productor Colombiano. Este trabajo de estudio ha traído nuevos retos que han enriquecido la sonoridad del proyecto debido a que en el álbum, se combinan diversas interpretaciones musicales como; la guitarra eléctrica tocada por el mismo Ruido Selecto, voces, coros, trompetas y percusiones. Todo esto, sin alejarse de los sintetizadores y la sonoridad bass music característica de Ruido Selecto.

En “Equador” se explora la influencia africana siempre presente en los ritmos latinoamericanos. Debido a esto, las músicas del Caribe, de la selva tropical y de los Andes son protagonistas en la producción musical.

Ruido Selecto es un productor Colombiano de música electrónica que adopta ritmos del caribe como materia prima de su sonido. En esencia, la música afro es un claro referente y por esta razón su estilo sonoro incita a la danza y al baile como se refleja en sus producciones y presentaciones en vivo. El proyecto es creado y dirigido por Juan Esteban Herrera, guitarrista, explorador sonoro y productor musical de la ciudad de Medellín - Colombia.

About "El hombre caimán"

"El hombre caimán" (Folcore 138) "The alligator man" is an album that seeks to be influenced by the landscapes, traditions and legends of Colombia, interpreted from the sounds of electronic folk with cinematic and psychedelic touches very much in the vein of Thub. Among the songs on the album, "El hombre caimán", "Alborada", "Mientras duermen" and the singles, already released "Darién" and "Sensible" stand out.

About Thub

Thub was born as a proposal of music fusion between the Colombian folk sounds and the techniques of creation and production of western modern music, using synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines as tools to create a colored contour that travels between the rhythms of cumbia and the textures of modern electronic music.

In 2017 Thub released his first album "En el trópico" through Folcore Records and in 2018 he released the EP "Tierra de Nadie" in which you can feel a rhythmic change marked by experiencing other cadences and other tempos.

After a while and through the experimentation of a new performance, the third musical proposal is released in 2022 under the name of "El Hombre Caimán", a work of more than two years of creation, in which a high influence of Bass Music is heard and the asynchronous rhythms that give a unique character to each track and that seek to recreate environments and situations very typical of Colombia halfway between downtempo and midtempo.

"El hombre caimán" (Folcore 138) es un álbum que busca influenciarse de los paisajes, tradiciones y leyendas de Colombia, interpretados desde las sonoridades del folk electrónico con toques cinemáticos y psicodélicos muy propios de Thub. Entre los temas que componen el disco se destacan "El hombre caimán", "Alborada", "Mientras duermen" y los singles que ya se adelantaron al lanzamiento "Darién" y "Sensible".

Melodías, ritmos y atmósferas inigualables, cadenciosos y hasta nostálgicos, se presentan sobre sólidas báses electrónicas matizadas con arreglos dub y minimal.

Acerca de Thub

Thub nace como una propuesta de musica fusión entre los sonidos folclóricos colombianos y las técnicas de creación y producción de la música moderna occidental, haciendo uso de sintetizadores, samplers y cajas de ritmos como herramientas para crear un contorno coloreado que viaja entre los ritmos de la cumbia y las texturas de la música electrónica moderna.

En 2017 Thub lanza su primer álbum “En el trópico” a través del sello Folcore Records y al año siguiente hace el lanzamiento de un EP titulado “Tierra de Nadie” en el cual se aprecia un cambio rítmico marcado por experimentar otras cadencias y otros tempos.

Luego de un tiempo y a través de la experimentación de un nuevo performance, nace la tercera propuesta para 2022 llamada "El Hombre Caimán", un trabajo de más de dos años de creación, en el cual se escucha una alta influencia de la Bass Music y los ritmos asincopados que le dan un caracter único a cada track y que buscan recrear ambientes y situaciones muy propias de Colombia a medio camino entre el downtempo y el midtempo.

About Don Plok

Don Plok is a producer, DJ, and percussionist based in Buenos Aires with over 13 years of activity. He mixes contemporary rhythms with traditional African patterns; Classic Vinyl Samples, and Synthesizers.His inﬂuences varied from Latin American Folk, Dub, Electronic Music, and the Cumbias of his teenage years.

Founder and resident of Guateque Soundz, since 2010- with which he has enveloped countless artists like La Delio Valdez, Uji, and La Dame Blanche. In 2018 he also co-founded Dunumba Soundsystem.

During the last years, he toured through Latin America and Europe at festivals such as Fusion (Germany), Goulash Disko (Kroatien), and Movimientos (UK), among others.

DNGDNGDNG needs no introduction. The Peruvian duo (Felipe Salmón and Rafael Pereira) have been turning dance ﬂoors upside down since 2010. They released "La alianza profana" incorporating dance styles from all over Latam, the Caribbean and Africa, including zouk, dancehall, kuduro and tarraxo. In "Serpiente dorada", "Siete raíces", "Son de los diablos" and "Zenit & Nadir" they explore Afro-Peruvian rhythms. In "Fiebre", they make use of polyrhythm and minimalism.

In Venezuela "Bululú" is synonymous with agglomeration, tumult, crowd.

This EP is made up of 4 tracks - 2 singles and 2 remixes - where Candeleros gives off all his magic and energy at the service of dance and debauchery. A crowd that dances to the frenetic psychedelic rhythm of the Caribbean.

"La Meseta" mixes different rhythms, both Afro-Venezuelan and Caribbean. It is a cover of a Turkish folk song called Yaylalar performed by artists like Selda Bagcam.

The remix of "La Meseta" was done by Venezuelan producer Caribombo, who lives in France.

"Le Quedan Dos" is a cumbia-salsa, with a Gaita de Tambora arrangement at the end of the song, a rhythm from the southern coast of Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela.

It features the great singer Perro Loco del Amazonas on vocals.

The remix is by Matt Mansfield "Piper Street Sound" (US) in dub version.

The art is by the incomparable Laura Ortiz "Soma".

El Digitalazo - Manifiesto

Después de su debut con la primera publicación en junio de este año, aparece este nuevo volumen para despedir el 2023. Con cada nueva entrega, El Digitalazo va consolidando gradualmente los cimientos del espacio ideal para experimentar con el cuarteto.
El cuarteto, el ritmo popular de Córdoba, celebró recientemente 80 años de vigencia y desde entonces ha sido y sigue siendo el soundtrack de muchas generaciones. Siempre sonando en eventos tan variados como cumpleaños, casamientos, un asado, pasando por centros vecinales, en la radio de la verdulería o en la vereda de una vecina. Su máxima expresión: "el baile", donde cada noche se produce la comunión del pueblo cordobés, con distintas orquestas tocando de lunes a lunes. Ya sea consumido directa o indirectamente, la mayoría de los cordobeses han disfrutado de tirarse unos pasos al ritmo del tunga-tunga.

El ritmo alegre y veloz viene acompañado de letras que exploran temas como el amor, el desamor, la caravana, la melancolía, la tristeza y las vivencias de los barrios populares, enmarcadas en la dura realidad. Todo con la misma dosis.

Desde El Digitalazo trasladamos el sonido cuartetero al terreno que faltaba por explorar: la fusión con la música electrónica, dando como resultado lo que llamamos cuarteto digital. Este es nuestro humilde homenaje a la música popular, expresado en el lenguaje que conocemos. El Digitalazo expone de manera colectiva lo que se venía gestando poco a poco y de forma aislada: la búsqueda constante de nuevos horizontes sonoros con acento cordobés.

El Digitalazo - Manifest

After its debut with the first publication in June this year, this new volume appears to bid farewell to 2023. With each new release, El Digitalazo gradually consolidates the foundations of the ideal space to experiment with the Cuarteto.

The Cuarteto, the popular rhythm of Córdoba, Argentina, recently celebrated 80 years of existence and since then it has been and continues to be the soundtrack of many generations. It has always been played at events as varied as birthdays, weddings, barbecues, neighbourhood centres, on the radio in the greengrocer's shop or on a neighbour's pavement. Its maximum expression: "el baile", where every night the communion of the people of Cordoba takes place, with different orchestras playing from Monday to Monday. Whether consumed directly or indirectly, most Cordobeses have enjoyed throwing a few steps to the rhythm of the tunga-tunga.

The upbeat and fast rhythm is accompanied by lyrics that explore themes such as love, heartbreak, the caravan, melancholy, sadness and the experiences of the popular neighbourhoods, framed in the harsh reality. All with the same dose.

From El Digitalazo we moved the Cuarteto sound to the terrain that was yet to be explored: the fusion with electronic music, resulting in what we call Cuarteto Digital. This is our humble tribute to popular music, expressed in the language we know.

El Digitalazo exposes in a collective way what had been brewing little by little and in an isolated way: the constant search for new sound horizons with a Cordobés accent.
