Non-chronological playlist of my favorite Folded Grid tracks.
Ranging from self released to label released all produced 2016-2022.
Some of these tracks were multi-tracked but some were recorded as one shot recordings, with no edits. Working exclusively with a range of hardware, some of these tracks feature a certain type of air in them, reflective of the use of 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s gear. Hardware midi-synced gear recordings through a 16 channel mixer.

Marshall Applewhite, Detroit based producer/DJ, Marshall Applewhite is a man of many hats. His aliases include OktoRed, Cocky Balboa, Star Machine and Secret Shower, to name a few. His sound is what one may call tangential, diverging from expected norms and keeping true to the essence of the futurist movement from which techno originates;

For this edition of our recently launched CODECAST Y section, we'd like to present a really unique & original artist, Rolphëus Gheo.

Rolphëus Gheo is an artist driven by an eruptive energy, intrigued by the concepts of self-control and sensory behaviour electrified by the sheer mechanics of life. Born into a naturalistic growing cycle into the unknown of infinity, the artist appropriates emotions and is consistently on a quest for ultimate reason.
His taste for risk-taking and the unexplored naturally ensures he has an intimate relationship with abstract art.
Considering repetitive rhythms with slight, but powerful, variations as a means of transcendence, his emotional approach is sensitive - filling up emotions to their absolute tipping point so that it speaks directly to the subconscious.

Inspired by the nature of men and its clear impact on the environment, this artist builds an ideology of matter through sound. Developing a deep aversion to monotony, Rolphëus explores the flavours of the world guided through a frantic, yet controlled, instinct.

Press Release: 
Between several nice collaborations with artists and collectives involved in the underground scene, Rolphëus Gheo secretly experimented with dynamic combinations of sounds and grooves in order to create an outstanding cosmic EP for Neurom records - the label he created a few years ago and which he still manages today with the same passion.

These 4 technical sound variations have been named to reflect social themes to which the maestro attaches great importance.
Inspired by all that a community can do with intense synergy or if it doesn't have the solutions to connect its members to each other.

The artist seeks to insert in his music vibratory flows allowing to establish certain positive nerve connections in order to transmit part of his knowledge of the subconscious - by the sound.
