Happy New Year to all of you lovers of SPEED out there and an extreme warm welcome to the year 2022.  We are hitting you all up extra early this year to share with you another of our SPEED Artist Invitation Mixtapes. This time around we have invited the Naarm based producer Hasvat Informant to put a mix together to really get your new year off on the right foot. 

With a background in Sound Engineering, Hasvat Informant is a Naarm producer who has been quite active in the scene both working on his own music output as well as engineering credits for various local and eu talents such as Solar Suite, CTSD, Dr. Chicken Gristle and Haber. His own outputs, either under Hasvat Informant or his alias Intellagama can be heard on labels such as MORD, Amniote Editions and Ute. 

We’re super stoked to have this mix from Hasvat Informant be the mix that kicks things off for us at SPEED this year and hope that you all enjoy putting it on and much as we did!

Both coming from the emerging @phonovisioncologne crew, @arnocologne and Various Identities have been storming clubs in Germany, and now they bring their infamous B2B to our DETECT series. 

The duo are known for their vinyl-only sets that focus on 1990s - 2000s progressive tribal and trance, 0effortlessly blending back and forth between the two.

They have recorded an exclusive mix for our DETECT series

CX580 is a new creative alias of Damon Bradley, one that protects, elevates, and nurtures old school trance, some modern takes on trance, and the intimate connections trance has with techno. CX580 is light to complement the dark spaces of techno. CX580 aims to unify all the genres under the "electronic" genre, with a mind towards elevating the hearts and spirits of the last remaining souls on the dancefloor. CX580 down-to-earth, unapologetic and relentless with his presentation of trance, hardtrance and techno in between.

Damon Bradley is a veteran electronic music enthusiast, DJ and promoter. Originally from Philly, Damon is the creator of TechnoFist, Katalyst, and is one of the creators of SEQUENCE.

Damon has opened for the likes of Shifted, Ben Damage, Exos, and Phase, and closed for legends such as Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Perc, Tommy Four Seven, Headless Horseman, Stranger, Milton Bradley, and The Gods Planet. Damon's favorite spot in the lineup is closing- always wanting to leave a strong, energetic impression for the last remaining zombies on the dance floor.

Damon’s influences span a broad spectrum of electronic music, ranging from ambient to industrial techno, groovy and soulful house, and melodic progressive trance. He curates the TechnoFist Facebook Group, which was created in 2013 and now is a community that has over 3000 members.

In 2016, Damon teamed up with Ron Jackson, Jacob Knibb, Associate and Juana to form SEQUENCE, an ambitious underground techno event series in Washington DC.

Joining us for our second edition of our Frixxxion podcast is Narr Radio resident, Esmé. For the last few years Esmé has been putting in the work and earning respect from peers on the local and national scene. 

When she's not playing out she's busy building a scene in Todmorden where she co-founded Vally Fever + ICONOCLAST; a grassroots queer festival  spread across multiple iconic venues and pubs.

The fabulous virtuoso has been making the rounds and is a well known dj in the Dutch rave scene. We asked him a few questions about love, emotions, his sound and this podcast. He can't imagine a day without music and he sometimes wonders: how gloomy would this world be without it? Music is everyone's healer, it tells stories and evokes emotions but also helps you work through them. Music has the power to bring us all a little closer to each other in a shared realm of consciousness and love.

Volume 03 of the Northern Groove Association Podcast comes from London based rising star PAIGE.

PAIGE made her entrance into the music industry co-running and curating event
and label, Night Service Records. Her approach to DJing draws influence from her dance-floor experiences and crossing club-focused genres frequently. Her energetic style often involves combining tribal infused tracks with groovier, harder techno sounds.

As well as recently curating a takeover on HÖR Berlin, following her debut late last year, she has also played regular shows on KINDRED radio, Rinse FM, Balamii, Munich based Radio 80k and Foundation Fm, as well as various other streams and events in clubs and venues including Fold, Tate Britain, Renate Berlin, Corsica Studios, Patterns, and Phonox.

We are thrilled to be welcoming PAIGE to make her debut for the Northern Groove Association at the DBA on 10/09/22 and based on this funky tribal infused mix, we can't wait to hear what she will unleash.

Hailing from Singapore, the London based DJ & Visual Artist @wvrmpool draws influence from the heavy metal, punk & psychedelic rock music that shaped his teenage years.

Having only made his DJ debut on the scene in 2021, Timothy is geared-up to make waves, with the support from his @tussle-ldn crew and residency on @aajaradio .

His sound is an amalgamation of driving basslines, primal rhythms and textured vocals, seamlessly jumping between techno, trance, industrial and breakbeat. His mixes are an exploration of the connection between mind, body and music.
