He also took the time to share the story behind this new album, how his discography has evolved over the years, and why the meaning behind his music is far simpler than most would assume.

Somniac One is a Lithuanian DJ and producer whose powerful sound and aesthetics have made her one of industrial and underground electronic music’s most sought after names.

Somniac One’s sound is intense, atmosphere-driven and technically precise. Her fierce kicks, combined with distinct and innovative sound design have made her one of the most respected artists from hardcore’s new wave of producers. Her out of the box approach to hardcore and techno made her an ideal match for trend-setting and leading events like the Astropolis Festival, Defqon.1, Bang Face, Unpolished, Masters of Hardcore, Soenda Festival, Motel Mozaique and Boiler Room.
	
Somniac One started producing electronic music in her bedroom at the age of 13. She released music on renowned underground labels Love Hz and Meta4 before signing to PRSPCT Recordings for a series of breakout EPs. Today Somniac One’s music is supported by some of the most prominent names in both hardcore and techno. She continually works to expand her stylistic range and territory which resulted in recent releases on DSNT, RAW, Possession and Ghostly International.

Like all musicians, Somniac One is a product of her environment. She has lived in seven different countries and was able to experience a wide range of underground scenes. This resulted in a natural ability to weave diverse cultural influences into a coherent musical narrative. This shines through in both her productions and DJ sets, which effortlessly combine techno, IDM and hardcore with a proven sensibility for servicing any and all dancefloors, including yours.

"I aimed to record a driving, high-intensity techno mix that represents a good chunk of the club gigs I’ve played over the last few months. This set includes a lot of my current favorites, and spans a few different ‘subgenres’ of techno, from more classical loopy and hypnotic stuff to more modern industrial techno and schranz, all layered and thrown together into this sausage of a mix".

Established firmly in both the techno and industrial hardcore scene, Somniac One is perfectly positioned to blur the lines between genres. The French fury Ma Čka (@ma-cka) is a techno producer and DJ from Paris. She will be serving January's podcast as part of the studio sessions.

"A new cold breath in Industrial Techno."

A steep, dark, powerful industrial techno with a meticulously calibrated saturation, integrating singular textures, both cold and fiery. This is how the universe of Ma Čka can be depicted both in her productions and in her DJ sets. From the most underground clubs to titanic hangars and festivals with Dantean scenography, the music of Mekanikal Blooshed’s (@mekanikal_bloodshed) co-founder reflects in every way a scene that ignores the twilight. Ma Čka is a very promising artist and her productions of pure brutality are highly acclaimed by the current techno scene.
