Unfortunately I didn't use the right settings and only used the internal microphone which I found out afterwards, but loved the aesthetics of the recording.

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what Egotot, the founder of the infamous @schimmerrecords, is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. This also reflects in this live recording from the Rennbahn event at Halle02 on the 28th of February 2025.

In his own words: 
"This set was recorded during the opening of the Rennbahn event, where I am a resident, in Heidelberg. Starting slow with ambient and deep beats, this set opens the evening for @decka-music as headliner. Browsing through the folders on the stick, I discovered some old collabo tracks with Elias(de) and @franzjager, perfect for a solid start to the night, mixed with some new additions, including ADMINISTRATOR’s next appearance on Schimmer Records' two sub-labels: Groovebox and Liquid One.

It’s always important for me to strike the right note at openings. Taking everyone on a journey, respecting the time and the amount of people in front of me. It’s a challenge because this slot is not the comfort zone for myself, but the most exciting part when it’s successful."

A prolific artist, Joton's work has been showcased on renowned labels including Illegal Alien, Fabric, Modularz, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Raw Raw, Dynamic Reflection, Quartz, Odd Even, and Skryptöm. His tracks have garnered support from legendary figures such as Ben
Klock, DVS1, Radhad, Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Surgeon, Truncate, and Go Hiyama. In 2015, Joton released his debut album, Casting Out Nines, to critical acclaim, presenting it across ten countries on three continents. This year, the spanish techno legend Oscar Mulero will return to the stage at rural, and we are happy to share the recording of his closing set at “rural at New Acao” in 2022.

This three-hour raging techno set guided the audience to the most intense and deeper world in the otherworldly main floor of “New Acao”, a gorgeous Showa-era building overlooking the sea.

Championing a sound both highly intense and surgically precise, the Argentinian DJ and producer has us surfing a rogue wave of frenzied analogue funk, sci-fi-informed industrial pound and proto-electroid impulsions. Not one for the faint-hearted, Zisko’s mix is galloping techno at its most eruptively driving and merciless, bound for heavy-duty, mid-set apexes and hi-impact mosh pits down the basement. Total smasher beware, this one’s cut from the heaviest alloy.

Psyk is a key player in Spanish techno, an acclaimed talent with firm emphasis on deep, repetitive loops. He has become synonymous with high-quality, trippy and smart as a tack rhythms. For the last two decades since he started out on Madrid’s clandestine rave beat, he’s developed and advanced a sound to near perfection: raw and technically agile, pelagic echoes from the abyss that have shifted with their changing times. 2011 saw him launch the widely renowned Non Series, a platform releasing the work of similar vein artists like DJ Nobu, Architectural, Neel, Nastia Reigel, Tauceti, Blawan, Luigi Tozzi, Function and Rrose, generating buzz and ardent following. His own releases on labels like Mote Evolver, Semantica and Tresor, intermittent forays on his own label under the alias Maan, as well as his co-project Second Skin (est. 2022) alongside fellow Madrileño Oscar Mulero have been slowly gaining traction in a contemporary music landscape replete with talent. Though the rate of productions is decelerating his touring schedule marches forward at full tilt, adding recent Bassiani dates to those at a list of must-play venues like Fabric, Berghain, Fuse, Tresor and Amsterdam’s shuttered DeSchool.
