BICEP (Live) @ Glastonbury 2022

Sometimes there are moments and sets in London clubland where the stars align, certain artists are in the building and the energy is LOOSE.

Skee Mask at the HVYWGHT 4th Birthday back in February was one of those moments.

Following on from a South London Digital Mystikz homecoming at peak time to a fever pitch Brixton Electric. Playing a dubstep party for the first time, alongside legends of the scene - Skee Mask proceeded to play one of the hardest sets we’ve ever seen, effortlessly mixing classic grime into dubstep into techno into breaks and beyond.

A flurry of MC’s were in the wings, none of whom were booked to host the set but had no choice but to jump on. The energy was infectious - Flowdan B2B Trim B2B Chunky B2B SP:MC over Skee Mask on the Sinai Soundsystem. We can guarantee you will never get this combination of artists on a set EVER again.

In collaboration with Sadaa Sound Syndicate, we're honoured to present Sawt Syria: an exploration of club & underground music culture in Syria and its exilic diaspora in Europe. Captured in the summer of 2022, this two-part project showcases, for the first time ever, the most compelling Syrian DJs & producers of contemporary culture, shaabi sounds & rap.

This first segment – 'Motherland', shot in Damascus – presents a 6-hour broadcast accompanied by a video-essay that roots deeper into these artists’ worlds & practices in music-making & organising. 

"Sawt Syria {'sawt' meaning sound} is a meditation on the Syrian condition forged in over a decade of still ongoing war and dispersion, of the abjection and joy that shape that condition and the place of music in reckoning and striving for life. It was conceived & produced by Syrians for Syrians with editorial help from Sadaa Sound Syndicate – a cross-border group of self-organized Syrians who are attuned to the agential possibilities of sound. Since its inception, this project has been difficult to put out into a world where genocide is ongoing in Palestine and where turmoil persists in Syria and the region. The second segment – 'Exile (Europe)', shot between Amsterdam & Berlin – presents a 7-hour broadcast with 14 artists, followed by a video-essay in which they reflect on their changing artistic practices as they navigate their diasporic realities & make sense out of their experience away from home.

Neffa-T, who brings modern wave to the scene with his cutting-edge production and solid technique-based multi-channel DJ sets, raised the voltage of the dance floor on the first day with a set crossing genres very freely. From modern grime to driving techno sounds, tricky bass, and juke/footwork, the set was filled with a multi-layered groove, mixed in various ways.

Sully has been totally locked in as of late with a steady stream of 12”s landing over the past year, and now with a mix for Bleep he’s showing off what’s up next. Amidst a handful of unreleased and forthcoming cuts from Sully and friends are cymbal hits barking in between gnashing, brawling breakbeats, fearsome bass wobbles, and engine revving purrs. Soulful, melismatic synthpop enters on Kid Lib’s ‘Jungle Days And Nights’, fractured into Tim Reaper’s jungle euphoria, leading to D*Minds & Bladerunner dropping heavy depth charges, Arcane stretching vocal clips in a drilling breakbeat collage, and Objekt’s murky tension on ‘Bad Apples’ with a molten jagged bassline, industrial whirring, and the pitch dial gone wild.

Rob Glassett, better known as Fold is a London based music producer influenced by his teenage immersion in the cities pirate radio, raving and record collecting culture in the late 90's and early 2000’s.

Co-founder and A&R of East London’s forward leaning Well Street Records imprint he has released his own productions on labels such as Aus Music, Electric Minds, Shall Not Fade, ManMakeMusic and Well Street Records (under the Robert Fleck moniker) maintaining his position as a key player in the underground of UK nightlife for nearly 15 years. 

Aside from being a talented producer Rob is a prolific DJ having played at venues large and small across the globe, including prestigious venues such as London's iconic Drumsheds warehouse, Berghain / Panorama bar, Glastonbury Festival, Fabric, Warehouse project. In 2024 he supported Overmono on their UK tour before completing his own debut tours of Asia and most recently Australia in early 2025. 

Rob is a seasoned music head, obsessive record collector and previously a resident at London’s NTS Radio for over 10 years before joining Rinse FM in the Summer of 2024. His gold mine of archive mixes, not limited by genre or style, features a host of forward thinking UK artists and showcases a deep knowledge & understanding of the history of electronic music.

Specifically he is known for his extensive knowledge of UK sound system culture, 90’s - 00’s House music, UKG, Drum & Bass and eclectic back to back sets with long time friend Joy Orbison. After starting his musical journey at the tender age of 14 it can be said Rob is a ‘selector’ in the truest definition of the word and a genuine servant to the music he loves.

In 2024 Rob launched the label FLDIN2 to specifically showcase his own razor sharp dance floor focused productions. With the first three singles ‘Billa’, ‘Bottomless Brunch’ and ‘Lotion’ being widely acclaimed by heavy hitting artists such as Bicep, Overmono, Four Tet, Ben UFO, Bakey, George Fitzgerald plus club goers and bedroom DJ’s alike.

In 2025 Rob is lined up to play at Warehouse Project, Glastonbury Festival alongside Joy O + a debut at the infamous Open ground Club in Wuppertal Germany. As well as hugely anticipated releases scheduled for Dr Dubplates EC2A, Rinse FM's main label and the debut release on the new Rinse FM sub label Ingram
