MENACE is about ecology, where the Ars subtilior blends with electronic materials made of field recordings and oscillator articulations. 
Spectral writing, therefore, serves as a “binder” to various sonic and textural phenomena. 
This piece acts as an organic mass almost imitating the event that causes various varieties of flora to grow and flower. In a certain wild gesture, organic movements and hallucinations emerge to the surface, mirages, blurs, and sharpness burst forth. Like a world, henceforth, that could almost never come back.

I am sombercascade:  

Im sombercascade, an artist from the Xanax and ‘God” filled hill country north of San Antonio, Texas, and music for me is not just a craft—it is the primal pulse of existence, a conduit for the strange collisions of melancholy and defiant hope that swirl inside my head. My art is a slow descent into the churning depths emotions can take us, a plunge through dreamscapes of shimmering dread and ephemeral beauty.  

This album is the current pinnacle of sombercascade.

Folklore Tapes is an open-ended research project exploring the vernacular arcana of Great Britain and beyond; traversing the myths, mysteries, magic and strange phenomena of the old counties via abstracted musical reinterpretation and experimental visuals. The driving principle of the project is to bring the nation’s folk record to life, to rekindle interest in the treasure trove of traditional culture by finding new forms for its expression.
