2012年春、CDショップ「雨と休日」3周年演奏会で出会い
AOKI,hayato と haruka nakamuraとして活動をスタート。
2014年秋 1st ALBUM「FOLKLORE」(fete musique.)をリリース。
2016年内田輝(SAX)が正式参加。
trio編成となりユニット名もFOLKLOREとなる。
2017年12月trio編成となっての初めてのスタジオ
レコーディング音源となる7インチアナログ
シングルレコード「RIVER](fete musique.)をリリース。

haruka nakamuraと青木隼人のデュオからスタートし
はじめはアルバムタイトルだった「FOLKLORE」は
いつしか活動全体を表す名前となりファーストアルバム発表後に
ソプラノサックスの内田輝を迎えトリオの形になり今に至っている。
2014年から始まったライヴツアーは日本全国を巡り
3年間で約100公演にも及んでいる。(現在もツアーは継続中。)

「FOLKLORE」という言葉に「旅」という
テーマを加え様々な場所に出かけて演奏を続けている。
都市もあれば、シャッター商店街の続く街や
人里離れた場所、森の中でも演奏をしてきた。
旅をしながら、出会う人や土地から受け取るものを
縦糸にそこでうまれる旋律と音響を横糸にして
音楽という織物を織り続けている。 

ギター、ピアノ、サックス、電子楽器を織り交ぜ、
交叉する旋律と音響の旅路。
