Shout out to my girlfriend Kerstyn for working on this song with me. I wrote this song to God and it entails a history of my relationship with Him. 

The verses are simply me venting and talking to God. Kerstyn, on the hook is replying to me from God's perspective. 

So the disclaimer here is that this song is an ongoing conversation with me and God.

Jacob James, announces his first official mixtape with Visionary; a raw and punchy hip hop project from start to finish. It is full of faith inspired punch lines and young Indigenous wit. Featuring some deep and authentic songs that touch on real-life vulnerable topics. 

In this mixtape, he discusses the struggles and victories he faced in 2020. While highlighting some stories throughout his 21 year old life, as well as stories of those around him. He does so with his 90's inspired style mixed with modern day trap sound. Not only representing the Navajo Nation, but the Kingdom of God as well.

This is a project made for visionaries just like him. People who see what others cannot see. True vision being what you can see when your eyes are closed. His positive gospel hip hop message leaves you feeling uplifted and encouraged by the end of the mixtape, whether you are a visionary or not.

This 21 track escapade was written over the course of one year, recorded in three days and perfected in three months. Mixed and engineered by DJ Sounbyte and recorded by KyGonSol. The Cover art was taken by Kerstyn Baloo and edited by Jacob James himself.
