We Are Play Music is pleased to present its first compilation by a group of artists from the Portuguese Minimal scene in this Special Edition: VA Portugal Minimal, where producers from different cities such as Aveiro, Lisbon, Oporto, Terceira Island, Vila Nova de Famalicao and Vale de Cambra converge with ten tracks going from Deep House and Atmospheric sounds, through Electro, Breakbeats, Dub and some Vocals to sound with more solid beats, which makes this a very complete album, respecting minimal as the main genre, flirting with its different slopes.

Mandarin is the co-founder of Fantastic Friends Recordings. His sets explore all the trends of underground electronic music with the sole aim of making people dance, dream and travel. His tracks are always mixed with great precision and he offers a selection as surprising as it is coherent. Ghetto house, dub or deep house, melodic and progressive deep-tech, minimal house and techno are all the components of his music styles. That’s why he will offer you every month “A House Thing”.

In this second edition, Mandarin delivers an ode to the G-House of Chicago in the early 90s that is characterized by minimalist rhythms and sexual lyrics.

During his youth he listened to mostly classic Hip-Hop (1997 - 2002), afterwards began to frequent the Romanian Space Club and UK Fabric. The major call for electronic music in terms of DJing and Music Production came at the age of 30, in 2012 when he first attended a DJing course followed by a Production one at Subbass Academy in London. 

One year later, CK won 3 DJ competitions in a row: EDC London, Movida Corona UK & Amnesia Ibiza DJ Challenge and also had his first EP released - Back from SubBass. He release music on various labels, including Tonic D Records and owns the podcast platform called DEEP MVMT.

Minitronik aka Matke, born as Predrag Matic in Serbia, always had "a thing" for music. He started DJing in 2011, and since then he has released for numerous labels and played on many events and well known festivals. 
Minitronik sound is darker, minimalistic and harder, we can call it "a fusion of techno and minimal" while Matke is more house oriented. Lately he likes to combine both in wish to create best possible atmosphere for the crowd. He is an author of numerous EPs, 3 albums, singles and remixes. Many tracks he produced hit the charts, and the most successful was "Visage" released on "Happy Days Records".
