IN THE BOOTH WITH FOLU STORMS EP. 13: WHERE TO NEXT?

I posted a couple of amusing videos a few days ago, but behind that was a very serious message. I'll be sharing these little audio StormCasts as my way of staying sane and communicating with you guys any serious issues going forward. There will still be funny videos on Instagram and the like, but it is theraputic to just chat sometimes. So here is the first of many.

STORMCAST EP 1. AFTER THE COUGH

*please note this episode has some profanity and delicate ears may not approve. 

The human body loves routine. It works better that way, so whether you are dealing with a current health issue or otherwise, the reality is our usual life routines have been disrupted dramatically. It means we need to put new routines in place so that we can function at our optimum. That's what your body needs now more than ever in a time where it's quite likely that eventually many, many people will have to battle this disease. 

In this episode I tried to be a bit more specific about my routine which people asked about. Please remember that each individual is different and that what is working for me may not work for you, but this is what is getting me through this period. 

Other important things to note: I keep taking very high doses of vitamin c each day (between 6,000 and 8,000mg), I open all the windows and ensure my space is properly ventilated most times, I will gently excercise myself a bit each day (yoga works well for me because it requires a focus on breath which is key these days) and I cannot stress enough, ALLOW YOURSELF SLEEP! Especially being ill, when you sleep your body can work more efficiently on healing. It's especially hard now with the stress of negative news, but I do my best and I hope you do yours too!

STORMCAST EP 2.  A ROUTINE JUST MIGHT SAVE YOU

Still resting and trying to recover, here are a few things that have occupied my thoughts through Isolation: awesome bits of music and tv shows to get into, and looking at how the Nigerian people are reacting to the President on this issue . lol. yah.

I made it to day 14 since my symptoms showed up!!! I am soooo thankful! Having said that, I have a number of frustrations still and I've expressed that. Please continue to share with people who might need to hear this!

19 days Later and feeling the best I have in weeks, I want to share some more personal stuff with you guys so that I'm being completely transparent about my health and all the steps I have taken as well as steps I have turned down.

As always please remember these are personal accounts and therefore what is expressed are mostly my opinions. Stay safe out there people and stay home! Let's make sure we slow this thing all the way down!

I could not resist commenting on the Will- Jada- August situation and sharing my possibly quite unpopular opinion. It really has presented such a teachable moment on what defines a relationship and what people want out of marriage and long term commitment.

STORMCAST EP.7 ENTANGLED IN LIFE

This is a completely uncut and unpolished conversation with my good friend and analyst Nwaji about the #Endsars protests across the nation and how it has captured the hearts of many Nigerians and is affecting the course of the Nation and possibly the world.

I didn't want to edit this because this movement has made me proud beyond my dreams to be a Nigerian today, living and working here. So So proud and so hopeful for future generations. 

Our Ancestors have come back to fight the good fight and they walk among us. We are ancestors in the making. Which side of history will you stand? How are you choosing to live?
