"One day way back in our student housing days we were working on a remix and accidentally came up with a riff that had nothing to do with the song we were remixing. It sounded like it could be 'Electro'! We decided it needed it's own song. So we wrote 'Yellow Brick'. It probably got it's name from being a loud (brick) angry and acidic (yellow) song. South London Based DJ & Producer Shinobi aka Raamiz St Hill has been honing his studio skills for many years. His style is heavily inspired by the drum and bass sounds of the 90s and early 2000s, while incorporating elements of Funk, Soul, Jazz, Reggae & Hip Hop. His second album on Architecture Recordings serves as another showcase of these influences as well as displaying his unique take on underground dance music.

Here's my entry for the Circuit Sounds (@circuitsounds-uk) launch party at Planet Wax on the 18th of January. It's not easy to show off my mixing style within a short 30 minute mix, but I hope this mix showcases my style enough for you to get an idea of the types of tunes I play. In this mix I start with some deep & techy liquid rollers, gently progressing into some more darker and heavier rollers. I then throw a smidge a minimal froggy jump up with some face melting foghorns before turning the energy up a little in the end with some more bouncier and energetic tunes.
